    usually when you use quotation marks you write what the person actually said verbatim

    But he didn't use double "quotation" marks which you would use if you were quoting them verbatim. He used single 'quotation' marks which is shorthand for paraphrasing something....

    Just sayin....

    The mark he took on 3 quarter time shouldn't be possible. Had 2 blokes in the air trying to rip each arm off it, still holds it like a vice.

    More importantly he pinged the target in the cheer squad when he slotted the goal.

    Forget Howe, that was the best mark I've seen from a Demons player this year. The context of the game and then to go back and slot the goal made it even better.

    Ended up 3rd in the AFL for total contested marks and 3rd in contested marks per game.

    That's not true, at least not in the Harvard referencing system. Single quotation marks indicate a quote and double quotation marks are used inside a quote when that quote contains a quote.. and you can quote me.

    Spot on. Made all the more frustrating by the free man ban got when he dived forward after minimal contact.
