I miss Jeff White, we need more than a war horse tap ruckman, we need a ruckman that gets some ball round the ground

Yes, the Crow mids read his taps easily. It was almost as if he was tapping to their advantage. You'd think he came from Sth Aust......... oh, wait....

Watts needs to play and improve. Terrible conditions today but we need his skills if we are to win.

Dawes offering nothing, I'd rather Pederson or Gawn.

Dyson has got to stop butchering it. Bradshaw and hogan will be stars but hogan has been poor set shot kick since kid, and needs real remedial work. Cross tries guts out but his kick into forward 50 consistently isn't good enough. Howe looks like he's going through motions (perhaps already agreed terms with GWS) but thought garland battled really well.

Umpiring was shocking.

[Pedersen] for Watts next week.

This is actually an idea... Dawes or watts...

Has he done much in the two's?

Don't understand the hate on Dawes. Bloke had a dislocated finger and looked like the English Patient for most of the second half, and the moment Frost was injured he was asked to do some rucking around the ground. Plus it [censored] with rain for the second half. We are so quick to bag him but he gives a contest each and every week.

Terrific effort from the boys today. Adelaide are a side that have looked sensational two weeks running and we went with them all day. Apart for some poor kicking for goal we matched them in all areas.

Watts deserves a bit of harsh criticism today. That dropped mark led to 2 goals in 30 seconds in the first term - if we hold them we go into the first term break 2 goals up.

All in all though we were fantastic and I can't fault the effort for one second. McDonald awesome, Hogan and Brayshaw are the future and we are a better side all round. Bring on the Tigers.

This effort needs to be std.... Understand were the list & some great signs in Hogan, Bradshaw etc

But Watts 2 dropped marks cost us 2 goals ... Defenders busted thr ass to win & then to see him turn it over.. Honestly I wonder if he has the intensity to able to play at the level to win these tough games let alone finals!

Watts is ok stop picking on him - Richmond are his bunnies every time and we want him playing next week. Its Dawes that has to go although if Frost is hurt he might stick around.

20 players tried their guts out.

Poor kicking for goal.

Disgraceful home town umpiring.

Agree. We should all be over the moon about this 4 qtr effort.

Let the mistakes go and enjoy what they did...it bodes very well.

I'd be worried if I were the tigers!!

Agree 100% about Hogan's set shots. In the long run, that action needs to be rectified to get the most goals in his career. I don't GAF how many he kicks at training. Run in a straight line towards goal and keep the ball steady, follow it onto your boot. Only Buddy can now do anything different and get away with it on a regular basis. Melb needs Dunstall or someone similar to work with him to get it right while he is still very young. Other than that, he's a fantastic prospect.

Watts was good first game, good first half last week, shocking this week. You can't drop him. Ridiculous. Dawes must go. Need a lot more from Kent, Howe to go Fwd, Tyson has had a slow start, need Ruck support. Good effort from most today. 84 tackles says we stayed on the game. But we let them kick 2 goals after half time before we woke up, happens way to often, and set shots really bad today. Hogan should have kicked 4, Jeffy 3.. We were not without chances.

Positives:

-Attack on the ball & player when not in possession especially in the first quarter.

-Pressure on the opposition coming out of their backline & creating goals from turnovers in the first quarter.

-The game was faught out over four quarters

Negatives:

-Intensity drop off & loss of momentum after Watts dropped two marks.

-Goals against from clearances

-Ball movement down the boundary at times was terrible. Almost like watching a team coached by Neeld.

-Losing possession of the ball in transition through failing to switch, lack of numbers providing options, poor work rate, poor disposal etc

I'm happy with Dawes' effort. He frustrates me but if Pedo isn't in form I'll keep him as 2nd ruck if Frosty goes out.

He and Watts like Richmond, that's all I have to hold on to.

Has Betts ever touched the ball on Never Jetta?

Nev will have a trophy room with flashy forwards mounted heads on the wall when he's done. Betts and Wingard the first 2 inductees.

Humour?

Feedback: not funny.

I just ignore these now. He certainly deserves some criticism today but every second post is some peanut trying to be clever about it and failing miserably.

Jeff Garlett brings a lot but 3 weeks in a row, he has missed gimmes.

That's not good enough. Same with Kent. Misses way too many gimmes.

Watts. We're passed that stage. Just disappointed now.

on the positives. Jetta and McDonald are beasting.

All players drop marks.. But dropped 1 with no pressure & caused d a 2 goal turnaround late in the 1st qtr.. The gap between his worst & best is too wide!

Umpiring was awful.

Danger takes three Melbourne players out of play with an unrealistic marking attempt that got nowhere near the ball, and he didn't even put his hands up to mark resulting directly in a tex goal, apparently that sort of thing is within the rules.

Watts dropped mark was huge, he marks that and it may have saved 3 Crows goals at an important time, maybe the crowd shuts up a bit and jesse and jeff aren't as put off by the crowd

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
