Same as you, I am allowed to, it is a public forum, I don't  rubbish , read all the posts, for the majority winning is all that matters, why read my posts if you don't like them, I have quite a few posters I don't read now, unless I am quoted. I will continue to post what I like, if that is ok with you?

Whatever.

No...didnt expect us to win a flag yet.  Just about all to a tee expected us to start knocking on the door by years end. We seem again caught in a revolving door .....i.e in out in out.. chasing it all about going no where.

We ended 15  as 13th with 7 wins.. Its quite possible this year we may end up 14th.

Just doesnt strike me as much of an achievement . Makes a mockery of of the talk and bullshlt that still surrounds this club.

I thought 10 wins a bare pass.  8 or 9 is a fail

Our game day ability to adapt to other teams is woeful. We still lack any real leadership on the field..what happens off filed is all nicey nicey  but where it counts is  once past the white line.

We're still a club of excuses.

As OD has mentioned Jackson's verve for seeking finals this year has gone to ground.

So many here still aspire to mediocre results..  Maybe more than a handful wearing the jumper do as well.

Russell yo yos ought to be our primary sponsor...

How about we wait until the end of the year before saying we are a club of excuses. We may well yet get to your 10 win pass mark, and until we do or don't,  there is no need to be so negative

We will get to 10 wins. I've said it all year. We won't win today though.

I Agree. But people still argue that we haven't improved,  despite the increase in percentage, wins and ladder position, as well as overall club image and financial position.

People are scarred and determined not to induce further scarring until the evidence otherwise is irrefutable.

Wow. I sound like BB. :P

We won't win today I suspect, I agree.

Can only see two more possible wins

It's not so much negativity ...  As reality.

So one exception to the rule means it will be the same for everyone?

I see AF liked your post as well.  I expect that he is sacrificing anything to every god that existed that Prestia is magically given a new knee and he comes to us for a 4th round pick.

Hmm, not sure I said that, just pointed out an anomally.  To be honest I agree that we don't want injured players coming to us at a huge cost but meh I simply can't get as emotive as you seem to be able to about something that may never happen.

Cheers and go Dees for today.

Had us finishing 10th on 10 wins after doing the full ladder predictor at the start of the season.

Can only see us beating GC on the run home though. Where do you think the other 2 wins are going to come from?

Carlton but that still leaves one and I have no idea who that would be.

Unexpected places. Probably GCS, Carlton and then somewhere like Hawthorn or Geelong.

The main goal of a football club is to win.  Then it is to win some more.  And then it is to win even more.

You're kidding yourself if you think otherwise, and if any player on our list didn't have the above as his first, second and third priority then he should go and do something else.

I was talking about posters on here not the players, if actually read what I typed

It doesn't change a thing.  If you aren't supporting a club with a priority to win, then why else are you supporting them?

That's the whole point of sport last time I checked.. Some want wins,  some want awkward relationships with young guys 40 years their junior..

Oh humour, well I think it was

I actually have the social skills to get out from behind my keyboard and talk to people face to face   you want to try it sometime, that's if your mum will let you out

Wins are good, if we are good enough we will get them

I actually like watching footy, don't need to bet on it, or have a beer, or deride players whilst doing it

Two more wins is two more than last year. That is an improvement. We got within 3 goals of the Hawks, 5 points of North. We have improved, and will continue to do so.

That is the reality

We've "improved". It just hasn't amounted to much.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
