Bluey's Dad 3,419 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Don't know about the pets, but the Collingwood Football Club gets a higher average IQ out of the deal.
Fork 'em 7,063 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Great goal. But who's the muppet commentator that says: "I don't think Paul Roos realised just how good Bernie Vince was when he picked him up." ? Yeh right... Richoutto?
P-man 13,367 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Are you serious? You can buy memberships for pets? WTF do they get? From memory it's a club themed collar with optional water dish. I'm not even joking. Richoutto? Yep, it's Roo. Tremendous player. Horrendous commentator. Loves Bernie to death though...and who can blame him?
Bombay Airconditioning 6,510 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Are you serious? You can buy memberships for pets? WTF do they get? That figure was made up but you can get them. But adding that total to the grand total is misleading.
John Crow Batty 8,895 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Carnivorous fuchsia, a la "Little Shop of Horrors"?? That is a big ask. I had in mind more of the Northey era bad attitude. Like for example when President Stuart Spencer went in to bat for Rod Grinter who was one of the most hated men in the comp for his lateness at the contest which came to a head after he did some facial cosmetic reconstruction on that dripping wet sponge Wallace.
mdemonski2 403 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Are you serious? You can buy memberships for pets? WTF do they get? Not new the old pet memberships. I used to buy for the dog pre the kids arrival. As the oldest is now eight and the dog has been dead for years, I estimate mfc has offered pet memberships for at least a decade or more! And yep got a collar and something else (can't remember what).
mdemonski2 403 Posted January 16, 2015 Posted January 16, 2015 Ps dog was buried in his mfc collar and the whole family had a service for him in the back yard followed by a stirring rendition of 'it's a grand old flag'.
Moonshadow 17,678 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 SIDE NOTE WARNING. Was looking at websites for roof skylights (yes, I know...) and isn't this the female goal umpire Chelsea Roffe moonlighting? http://youtu.be/w5QU-6V4rCE
Biffen 12,949 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Are you serious? You can buy memberships for pets? WTF do they get? A dog day afternoon. And a kick in Collingwood households.
dpositive 1,838 Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Just saw the Orica Greenedge team has a new alignment with Etixx sports nutritionist. All guaranteed ethical and drug free medical practice for cyclists. I know of the reputation of cyclists but it is now under more international scrutiny . Could be a good alliance for MFC to look at. Marketing opportunities, health and fitness improvement and access to increased medical knowledge and products
CBDees 3,167 Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Topless waitresses at the Bentleigh Club and Leigh Oak!

AzzKikA 2,371 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 It's all about winning regular premierships, all the big clubs won premierships regularly over the last 35 years, hawthorn, Essendon, Carlton, Collingwood even though Collingwood have not won as regularly but they have played many GF, lower supported club's, st kilder, bulldogs, only one premierships so it is a slow process, win 4 or 5 premierships over the next 15 20 years, then we will be a big club, hawthorn have lots of members from the kids who all started following hawthorn from the 80's, it took 15 20 years after that before they become members in large numbers, the 2008 premiership awoke lots of those supporter to become members. Not true, look at North.
La Dee-vina Comedia 17,137 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 They were a great band, didn't know they were still around...........oh you mean .........oh no!!!!! Sure you weren't thinking of Glen Waverley and the Mentones?

La Dee-vina Comedia 17,137 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 thanks for the mammaries, ldvc Wrong thread, DC. Surely you're referring to the cherry picker.
daisycutter 30,027 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Wrong thread, DC. Surely you're referring to the cherry picker. no, no, the topless waitresses.......much better than cherry pickers (but beggars can't be choosers)
Pipefitter 2,236 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Topless waitresses at the Bentleigh Club and Leigh Oak! Better yet, the club should just buy the royal on punt road. Match day experience.
CBDees 3,167 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Better yet, the club should just buy the royal on punt road. Match day experience. Not sure whether my wardrobe extends to an outfit equally appropriate for both the Royal and the Long Room on Match Day?
Bitter but optimistic 22,289 Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Not sure whether my wardrobe extends to an outfit equally appropriate for both the Royal and the Long Room on Match Day? Mine does.
Guest Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Not true, look at North. Probably not the best comparison. While North were a strong team in the 90's, they were just that: A strong team in the 90's. The Hawks have been up and about perpetually since 1971.
dee-luded 2,959 Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Topless waitresses at the Bentleigh Club and Leigh Oak! $20.00 car wash on entry, with complimentary beveridge.

Grapeviney 9,931 Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 I reckon we should lean on the MCC to rename the 'G the Melbourne Football Club Cricket Ground (the MFCCG). Great way of brand-bombing every non-footy event that takes place at the ground - cricket, concerts, functions, the Museum, everything happens at the Melbourne Football Club Cricket Ground! We can market a new MFCCG membership for sports nuts wanting to avoid the 50-year wait to become an MCC member. "Join today and get reserved seats at one of the world's great stadiums for special exclusive weekly sporting events (Melbourne games)."
