I wouldn't be so concerned with the light frame but would definitely want a competitive, aggressive player...

Agree. You know what you get with Jones, Bail and McKenzie and it is not very much. At Least with Lovett he is an unknown quantity.

How can you make that staggering comment if you haven't even watched him play. Doesn't even dominate TAC level.. i will be very surprised if we rookie him. Go for the best available talent.

He doesn't look aggressive. He looks clean, not dissimilar to Toumpas, good on the outside.

Great skills. Well balanced kid. They mentioned in the nationals Parish was a contested player - but I haven't seen it.

They were all bloody competitive.

If they weren't competitive they wouldn't even be drafted

Stingrays are by far the best team this year and not surprising with 8 combine invites. I've been down to Dandy as much as I can this year and Lovett is showing a bit. Started well and got his vic country selection but injuries didn't help. He's been working his way back and trying hard to compete in a very tallented side. When the top end is out (like this weekend) he shone and got plenty of it (20+ I believe). Probably not a bad thing for us he's in such a good side - means we won't pay a top dollar. At the moment seems like an early third round in a weak draft, will fall because of lack of exposure, and probably cost us 4th+5th. Worth a look because he plays hard - doesn't mind the inside work, but is getting a lot of handball recieves link up work. I'd be penciling him in as a dee but don't expect at 2016 debut.

I think with this club, that its time we overreacted Re our soft club nature, & swung too far the other way for a while at least. recruiting more aggressive types than we ever have before.

lets get too many aggressive types; not just competitors, & try to shift the public perception of this club & of its support base..

Let us be the aggressors, the bullies, & let us be the ones dishing it out for a few years, at least.

Fair comment, cleaner inside of a contest than either.

That is a reasonable start. All 3 are elite users of the football.

Toumpas tends to panic a bit atm, I would argue that Balic has better composure.

In saying that, I'm not locked in on Balic, I just prefer him to Parish, I don't think it's a strong field of mids this year.

It would be ideal to take a tall first up, then draft a mid with our second pick - hopefully Gresham or Lovell.

I agree our pick 4-5 could be used on Parish, Balic or Mathieson.

But I prefer a Prestia to MFC in exchange for our 1st rounder
