Curry & Beer 5,444 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Has it been announced anywhere yet what the replacement 'home' matches are for the 2 x NT games? What's that all about.. totally missed it
JTR 2,910 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Round 4 vs Richmond Round 7 vs Hawthorn Thanks! What's that all about.. totally missed it I have an 11 game (all home matches) membership. As two of those games are played in the NT and I am not able to attend, I get 2 replacement 'home' matches in Melbourne (technically an away match but I can get in on my home match membership). Last year that was Round 4 v Carlton & Round 9 v Richmond
Ethan Tremblay 31,396 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Round 4 vs Richmond Round 7 vs Hawthorn Does that mean the match scheduled for Anzac Eve at the MCG will be played in the NT or have I missed something?
daisycutter 30,027 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Does that mean the match scheduled for Anzac Eve at the MCG will be played in the NT or have I missed something? Or is this just a joke? the "compensation" rounds bear no relationship to the nt games other than they are "compensation" for members missing these two "home" games
Ethan Tremblay 31,396 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 the "compensation" rounds bear no relationship to the nt games other than they are "compensation" for members missing these two "home" games Thanks for clarifying.

Pennant St Dee 13,473 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Received my membership pack. Have to wait until round 20 to go to our game vs Fremantle over here. Will be coming over for a game or two next year, am thinking April 24, vs Richmond Friday night at the MCG. March 5th I think we are playing Freo at Fremantle Oval in the NAB Challenge
Bombay Airconditioning 6,510 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 11 years and counting in the Redlegs.
S.R.J 418 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Looks like i will have to miss out on a membership this year. Unfortunately we cannot afford one. Could be worse i suppose.

AzzKikA 2,371 Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Great to see the Legends memberships have SOLD OUT @ $969.00 a year each, fantastic.I am really contemplating upgrading mine and the Wifey's memberships, used to just be a standard home game with reserved seats but after last years $50 upgrade to Redlegs seating offered by the club i cannot think of sitting with the plebs again! Extra 28 $'s a month (for both) can the budget stretch it!
Grapeviney 9,931 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Great to see the Legends memberships have SOLD OUT @ $969.00 a year each, fantastic. Best seats in the house. You're pretty much sitting a few rows in front of Roos.
drdrake 3,203 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Best seats in the house. You're pretty much sitting a few rows in front of Roos. I agree, that whole wing forward pocket level two Olympic Stand is the best place to watch footy.
DemonOX 8,857 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 March 5th I think we are playing Freo at Fremantle Oval in the NAB Challenge That's great for u 2 but in Qld we get another duck egg.
Lucifers Hero 40,755 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 This post isn't directly related to membership. But, interested in the free Sunday entry for kids. The AFL Press release says: 'Children aged under 15 will be granted free entry to Sunday matches at the MCG and Etihad Stadium next season...'. Our club website refers to the 5 Sunday home games but not the 4 away games. Does anyone know if it is for all Sunday games or just the home ones? It is really is a good initiative especially for us having so many Sunday games. Now that we look like making a comeback it may get young kids back to supporting the Dees... This should help: 'Melbourne is also aiming to have all five home Sunday MCG matches as the club’s designated ‘Kick on the ’G’ games, giving fans the chance to enter the hallowed turf post-match.' The making of more future Dee members perhaps!

It's all Sunday matches at the G/Docklands not just MFC so yeah, it will be for both home and away - I wonder if this would have an impact on junior memberships?
Elusive Tunbridge 795 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 This is shaping up like the 40,000 season, perception has so far outstripped performance.
Gorgoroth 13,220 Posted December 22, 2014 Posted December 22, 2014 I think a few early wins and we may hit 40k but I think we will only get 38k
rpfc 29,043 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 They get about 80-100 a day I have gleaned, so we are about 'a week' ahead of last year...
hardtack 11,115 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Bernie Vince just tweeted: "Nearly 25000 members for @melbournefc already. A pre Christmas record! Good to see everyone is as excited as I am about 2015!!"
DistrACTION Jackson 10,768 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Imagine if we start playing finals regularly again... we might crack 50,000 one day!
