Get some practice in DE because it's nearly grand final week and we all know your explosive posting on GF day!

Thankyou for the reminder MS. No chance of that that this year due to a GF party. Hopefully it is a good game?

Star?

A good serviceable player I would have thought. I don't have sleepless nights thinking about losing Brock.

Certainly done better than Gysberts though.

I was trying to be ironic. Didn't really work tho!

Need an irony emoticon...

Just announced on SEN that Sam Blease has asked to be traded and MFC has agreed.

Not earth shattering, but official nonetheless.

No further details

to be honest we would be lucky to get much. he's shown next to nothing for quite a while.

all he has shown is that he fancys his run too much.

This has resulted in him demonstrating selfish play that often results in poor decisions.

Tapscott for Robinson?

Don't really like the bloke, but he's a tough bugger that doesn't mind the physical stuff.

I'm not sure mate, I think Blease was rumoured to be heading there too, not sure what both could net us, someone apparently interested in Strauss too but I can't remember who it was

Tapscott has requested a trade to Carlton

No doubt after he was told we wouldn't offer him a contract.

I for one will be disappointed to lose Blease. I still think he can make it.

From the same draft as Watts. 7th year in 2014.

Watts has done so much more than Blease and yet some have more patience for Blease.

What a list they are building down at Princes Park...

Mick has totally lost the plot

Feel sad to see Blease go because at his best he is an exciting talent. Must admit his last 2 games for us were stinkers and he was given adequate time and opportunity. Can't see him making it elsewhere, just doesn't have the work effort required to run both ways.

Lol I forgot he worked there.

He was the one who originally drafted Tapscott and Blease right?

BP: Trust me mick, these guys can play, mfc don't know what they're doing

MM: " senile rambling "

BP: I think we should trade pick 6 for Luke tapscott and Bryce Gibbs for Sam Blease

MM: " throws something at Mark Stevens"

BP: we should use our second rounder to pick up Cale " cement truck" Morton

MM: zzzzzzzz

Carlton is a well run and respected organisation.

Just hope we get more for him than we did for Morton/Bennell/Martin

Doubt it. It's a mutual decision to trade him which means we are probably happy with anything at all. A late pick to use in another deal or a slight pick upgrade. Bennell turned things around because he was young enough to. Martin because he's a ruckman. Anything Blease does in his future should be seen as good luck to him not reflecting on MFC.

personally id just be happy with the sal cap space and a box of twisties.

We arent really losing much. Not a slight upon the kid but 6 years for what exactly ?

We got more for Morton than we deserved. Pick 88 for memory

Broken leg in the school quadrangle. 2 years on the sidelines and behind the 8 ball for the rest of his career.

What a waste.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
