cheers mate.

Is my understanding that we have 5 picks - 2, 3, 53, 61 & PSD 2

And Luke Tapscott, Sam Blease, James Strauss all uncontracted = 3 spots

So Nicho & 1 more look to be out the door should we choose to use all our picks?

Are we able to rookie Jack Trengove - from what we have heard he is unlikely to play before late 2015, if ever?

Does anyone know of any gems likely to fall to 40 or 53 ? The likes of Tom McDonald's bro, or Cockatoo ? (Only names I have heard - I admit to not really knowing anything about them so please, someone, enlighten me / us )

Could we have had Cockatoo for Pick 23

We were a chance for Cockatoo with 23. That's well and truly out the window now.

I don't think so from all the interest shown in him on trade radio etc (i'd say 14-18 he will go as a random guess).

Someone in another thread suggested Dean Gore.

My reading of the situation. Happy to be corrected if I am wrong.

Out – Frawley, Clark, Byrnes, Clisby and Nicho. Blease, Tapscott and Strauss are out of contract. This is a loss of 8.

In- Garlett, Jetta, Lamumba, Stretch and Frost. Picks 2 and 3. This will be a gain of 7.

Part of the Frost deal we brought in another two National Draft picks which I can think of no other reason than we intend to use them which will be a gain of 9.

After this we will need to unload a contracted player, 2 if we identify anyone through the PSD.

Don't be surprised if we delist Evans and pay him out and possibly Mckenzie aswell.

Tappy, Strauss, Blease, McKenzie, Evans all delisted I'd guess.

Hopefully there's a Riley-esque DFA Roos has in mind... better disposal would help.

What only those two?

Surely Demonland can use its power and influence and force the club to pay out and delist at least six more players posters don't like.

Forgot about Trenners and the LTI. They'd probably prefer to take a punt on Harmes for the LTI substitution and get Jetta on the main list.

He's starting 22 for mine.

How many players can we have on the primary list?

Have worked it out! What about Jack watts rookied?

Someone in another thread suggested Dean Gore.

Gore could be around.

Toby McLean is one I rate extremely highly who may be there at around 40. Jack Lonie could be there, would be happy to get Nath Drummond here too.

Talls Dan Howe, Dan Nielson and Brenton Payne could be useful gets in this range too. Oscar McDonald could be around the mark as well.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
