Only 2 non MFC players in first 18. If we lose this there will be no1 to blame except Watts

So many times people on the forum have said we'd lose to a VFL side, this is about as close as we're going to come to finding out.

God damn it's good to see Hogan named.

They not playing this out the whitten oval?

WTH is "Highgate oval"??

lol.."Toumpas too". Toump the bridesmaid.

Almost more excited for this game than the main event.

In fact scratch that. I am definitely more excited for this one. Please god let them both play well.

What a crap location for both teams.

Fingers crossed the Hulk gets through unscathed!!

HF: Salem Hogan Toumpas

F: Blease Pedersen Kennedy-Harris

Decent forward line...

Could be our forward line against West Coast next week. ;)

Good point. Anyone know what Pedo did wrong to be dropped? I know team balance was an issue with Max coming in but Pedo had been in form and can play both ends.

Clearly Pedo is a required player for next year, no doubt about it! I don't really think he will play after his "Nose job" and so following 'Due Dilligence" Roos is giving others "Under a Cloud' A chance to show they want to be a part of it next year!

Now who else is under the microscope for a Gig Next year??

Pedo didn't get dropped last week, he was injured, Gawn played a great game last week and with team balance it's hard to fit Pederson in. Good chance for Hogan and Pederson to work on forward line structure.

Would you pick him over Dunn or McDonald down back considering they've been decent enough most of the year? Would you pick him over Frawley, Dawes or Gawn? Frawley's mistakes have been highlighted but his positives have also been there and Dawes has been in mixed form but still brings defensive pressure as well. Pretty much Pedersen is unlucky but for now he's out of the team. Any injuries to any talls and he'd come in and I'd expect over preseason he'd have every chance to win a best 22 shot forward or back.

Three boys who will help propel us up the ladder again.

Is the Casey game televised?

No, he actually got dropped first then they brought his operation forward.

Huh? You have written off Toumpas numerous of times saying he was a wasted pick yet now you have named him as your 3 great hope of getting us up the ladder. I dont get you....

Anyway 11am in the morning for a senior match!??? Couldn't think of a more worst time slot. Thats like back in the days when your playing Thirds football with the dew still on the grass..

I have never written him off

Just frustrated that the 3 picks directly after him were McRae, Stringer and Wines

Toump will be a fine player

Not looking good for my boy Evans.

He has a few mates. Looks also like the Westrupp experiment hasn't paid dividends, hard to see him getting another year.

Yet Pedo is selected for Casey this week???

why do people keep saying Pedo wasn't dropped last week?

The changes read - Cam Pedersen (omitted)

Not injured. Omitted.

it doesn't get any clearer than that

Yep Dew of the grass ah the memories..... And Agree with sentiments re Toumpas Not even I would have the glass half full, half empty!

Credibility suffers when a complete 360 turn around is not rationalised and explained.

This might be what was trying to be said which is my view also

You ah know my Views on Toumpas. However, I hope he can turn around my perceptions for his Sake and that of the MFC.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
