I can only imagine that the players' attitude must have been unprofessional and disrespectful of the club to evoke such a response

Have you played much footy? I always found that fire and brimstone gets better results than hugs and kisses

Yes I have played footy, and played it hard and tough without resorting to the biff, as Carey said on Talking Footy, backing into a pack is tough, not hitting or grabbing someone, nobody knows whether the story about Viney and Martin is true, would be surprised the Players Association wouldn't make a stink about Viney still being in the industry if it was correct,

This topic is now degenerating into the usual bagging, move on, the Club is going forward

well eff him and anyone else that has/is contributing to our pizzweak culture - a culture that has us gone 50 years without success. I hope Viney gets them all by the throat and that they are sent packing if they don't walk the line

this culture has crept in after smithy left, & has ebbed & flowed thru peaks & troffs since. and we've never had a depth a talent & ethos of elite hard work, accept under Barrassi/Jordan - Northey eras. then slack re-entered again.

those damn slippers must be banned from around the club. AFL footy is a sleeves up, get into the muck job, which involves loss of blood, & plenty of bruises, given & taken. & injuries aplenty.

we've had too many who take, but don't give enough over the years.

this culture infects most all kids who don the jumper. Can't blame the kids, its the leaders on & off the field, who hold the standards, & therefore allow a culture to grow.

I have good mail that we will only be receiving mail twice a week . So I think that will make it the pretty average mail.

Quote your source. This kind of outlandish statement starts wars. If you're not prepared to name names then retract immediately!

I would have thought 3 times a week average and twice below average?

I say bring back carrier pigeons.

this was such a good thread topic, which could have had really good info. in it.

Oh well, back to doing what we do best; you think Watts or Toumpas will make it?JimSigh.gif

It's a hard one Song. I just wish we had picked that other bloke, Wines. Has that been mentioned yet?

I hope those looking at WC - A Gaff have reconsidered. Is the definition of a soft down hill skier. Had 1 tackle last week in the wet when Pridis had 18. IMO does not play the style of football Roosy want's.

I would be surprised if we went there, we certainly wouldn't offer a high pick for him. Stretch will be a better version anyway.

Wouldn’t use a high pick, but if he’s coming out of contract, I’d certainly gauge interest. There’s always the threat of the PSD if we lured him home. We might be able to bargain the Eagles down to a second round pick in this scenario.

Whilst he hasn’t kicked on from a promising start at West Coast, he’d still be a good addition to our midfield group. He gut runs to find the ball on the outside and uses it neatly.

Wouldn't spend a 2nd round pick 'Chaser', we need to use some of these now but depending where we finish on the ladder that PSD pick could be a winner. The AFL may not like how we use it but we need to play hard particularly if they don't come good with a PP.

I have it on good Authority that Scott Lycett has verbally agreed to terms with port Adelaide and much to the disappointment of the eagles the two clubs are trying to work out a deal, this probably hurts our chances of being able to snare Callum Sinclair if we were looking at him

Callum just signed a 2 year deal with the Eagles last week so is probably off the table anyway.

SPR im not trying to question your sources but you seem to be in the know with alot in the AFL which is alright I guess but your strike right is pretty..

If West Coast knew he had already verbally agreed to Port Power he wouldn't have been picked to play this weekend.

It's one of those things Dazzle, I work in fitness, and know a lot of the AFL fitness guys so I hear things that way, but it's amazing how quickly things backflip on you, I am pretty happy to just say what I hear when I hear them based on the assumption nothing will change, this is coming from a family member of Scott though so i'd say it's going to happen unless WCE block it

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
