Leave Caro alone.

She's done well in a mysogynistic industry.

She's enough I turn anyone misogynist. Don't you remember how she put the boots into MFC over the past 2-3 years? She didn't mention the tanking that her darling richmond club was involved in!

Are you suggesting that Grimes kick the ball to no-one in particular/vacant ground 25 metres in from the boundary. As much as Roos wouldn't have liked the kick out of bounds on the full I'm damned sure he wouldn't like that idea at all.

No I'm not. Why would you suggest that?

I am saying that he didn't need to pinpoint Bail (I think it was) 1cm from the boundary. Dumb decision. Poor execution. Could have easily kicked the ball 10-15m inside the boundary.

Is there something about that you don't quite understand? Its Saturday morning and I have a bit of time on my hands. Happily give you further explanation of footy basics.

Yeah, I remember all that - IIRC, the MFC were travelling beautifully?

Apologies for the sarcasm, but she's a footy journo - they're pretty much all the same.

The MFC need to suck it up and get better!!

If the umps were allowed to exercise any common sense no way that was a free against Watts - it was the perfect spoil.

IF they pay every free strictly per the rule book there would be over 100 per game.

Everyone seems to be missing the point. He got to the ball first. That is the name of the game. The subsequent feather touch to WIngard is almost irrelevent in those circumstances.

Let me put it another way. If Vickery last night hit the ball first and subsequently hit Cox after it would be play on. No difference here.

Precisely, so why are you saying to leave her alone?

She should cop her fair share along with Barrett and Hutchy - they're all leeches.

Agree. He hit the ball away off his wrist first. That meant that Wingard could never have marked the ball. Therefore the incidental contact to Wingard which he totally acted up, making it look like he was shot, did not constitute an illegal mark spoil. However if even after that the umpire felt constrained to award a free, how could 3 incompetent umpires miss the blatant drag around the neck to Pedersen, as he attempted to mark about 15 metres out straight in front. Even all of the commentators said it was blatant as did Murphy and Lewis on AFL360. Oh and by the way on TV the umpire is shown about 10 metres away staring straight at it.

Link me to posts that attack her based on gender? I haven't seen any.

Let's imagine what her offspring look like.

Really?

I don't expect you to get it.

Both of you need to grow up.

The MFC hasn't done itself any favours over the last decade and the scrutiny was deserved.

Not on a personal level it wasn't.

Wilson attacked individuals everyday last year.

Where was the return fire??

Her attacks on Dane Swan's private affairs? When has he ever returned a comment?

That same joke was also directed at Barrett and it doesn't target gender at all.

Supporting Neeld for so long must have sent you loopy.

what i love about all the footy journos in this town is that they all think they know everything, and then when something truly momentous happens - buddy to sydney, peptides scandal, lyon defecting to freo - they have NO IDEA whatsoever.

i'm convinced a vast majority get their rumour and innuendo straight from message boards such as demonland.

Ha!

I must be having trouble understanding the ramblings of an intellectual minnow.

What a disappointment.

I know that.....

What's your point?

I'm saying that the 'jokes' aimed at Caro are not funny, irrelevant to her profession as a journo and mysogynistic.

and i am saying they are directed at her profession.

She digs hard. She cops return fire.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi
