Games we have thrown away when they were there for the taking

Port x 2

Bulldogs x 2

Should have taken at least 1 or 2 of those games but screwed up all 4 of them

Guess the free kick against Watts to end the 3rd did come back to screw us in the a?$e after all.

That call was unbearable.

As much as Jack Grimes cost us the chance to get back in front, we were ALREADY behind when he stuffed up....courtesy of Nathan Jones

Why would you ever play on with half the opposition team around you when your teammate has won you a free kick in the final two minutes of the game?

I propse an Umpire review panel, I'm not blaming them for our loss mind you, we have dumb enough players to manage that on their own, but I'm fed up to the gills with poor umpiring, this year has been just out of this world in terms of how far backwards its gone. Players are held up to incredibly high scrutiny, umpires shouldn't be exempt. They should have a points system for blatent errors and suspesions for those that have too many points as well as carry over points. Make the maggots accountable!

All teams will say umps cost them or were against them, we see things from our teams perspective.

We lost the game, not the umps, not port.

Jones, stupid, stupid, stupid.

Dawes, stupid kick.

Grimes, dear god your kicking is woeful.

You owe us one Chris Dawes, stupid kick to no one, cost us the game. Grimes's kick wasn't typical Grimes

Not just to no one, back into the middle of the ground. Against Port Adelaide of all teams.

Simply cant play favourites cone eos list cull.

Some dumb fn twits on our list

We had our typical 15-20 minute patch of low intensity where we leaked goals. We played excellent clean balanced football to get back into it and then over thought the game and gave them every opportunity to finish us off. That loss hurts because the way we finished with poor decisions and execution by senior players is so predictable its not funny. Great to see Tyson back in form and Jetta have another great game but that was the extent of it for me.

So of the missed set shots were very average from full time footballers

yep that Watts free in the 3rd was a shocker

Holding the ball was paid for some and not others - seemed to even up in the 2nd half though (cost a goal or 2 but hell it don't matter now does it umpire)

We're a better team but skills and decision making are lacking - coughed up the ball to easily and butchered scoring shots - there is hope we can keep improving there

That Dawes kick is forgivable as he put it to space for someone to run on to.... Grimes and Jones''s error were not forgivable

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
