Yeah I can't see us taking Judd for a year. With Casey showing such great form and our young mids performing so well down there I can't see a spot on the list for him. It would create tension within the playing group when Nicho,Strauss and co. Are competing for a spot on the list with another hack like Judd.

i would take him for a year on a moderate salary but not the figure he would want.

why should we top up his Super.

i actually think the Blues are setting him up for a much reduced figure next year.

they need his salary reduced considerably to spend on recruits.

Judd for a year? Computer says no.

I gonna try to measure this in fibre, but its just not registering at all. "reaping what he sowed"

You are wrong there Machsy he was severely hampered in 2007 and knew he was leaving Meth Coast at the end of the season. He played the second half of that season under extreme duress as his team had another tilt at a flag. Had he been selfish he could have booked in early for surgery and hit the ground running pre-season with his new club. Furthermore he made sure Meth Coast got a good deal when he could have walked via the PSD. Whatever coin the Tigers wanted to throw at him Carlton would have matched and taken him with pick 2 in the PSD.

Having said all that it's a no from me

I've never seen him tag, play a defensive role, or simply not been the "star" midfielder.

He has been an offensive juggernaut, but he has never sacrificed for the team, beyond playing hurt, and I don't consider that a sacrifice for the team as such.

The Cross signing was out of the ordinary. Usually these deals fall flat unless a gap needs filling for a premiership contender ala Dew.

Can't see any point for us signing Judd, Sewell or O' Keefe. All energies should go getting some mid career types like Vince.

& this is why he's Not a great captain,,, way too self. we dodged a bullet, but shot our-self anyway.

Judd is no-where near, fitting Hodges shoes

Hodge had about 2 or 3 smothers inside about a 5 second period last night, to lead the way for his Hawks. sacrifice & GUTS is Hodges template; & I see Trennners being 'our Hodge', when fit.

Definitely a no.

However, I am a little bewildered at the the dislike for Judd here. He's always struck me as one of those guys that loves the game but realises that in the big scheme of things, it ain't really that important - and I admire that.

Anyone not in our side should be considered an improvement on today's effort

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
