our average points against is 80. That ranks us 10th best defense.

BUT if you can indulge yourself to consider it an anomaly and remove the Eagles game

our average points against is 75

75 x 9 = 675

lowest scores against

Port/WC - 685

so we'd be the third hardest team to score against in the league

Well, no, the assumption is if we'd kept West Coast to the same average score as we have kept everyone else. It's an interesting point, I think. Other than one (spectacular) lapse, we've performed a total flip defensively.

Can you do a bit of creative doctoring on our centre clearance stats? We're currently last. Do what you need to do to get us above Richmond.

We smashed Richmond 15 to 6.

    Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded.     Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was.
