Bernie Vince, absolute monty to win the bliuey this year, imo the best recruit over the off season by any side, or will prove to be that by the end of the year.

Dom Tyson

Bernie Vince

Daniel Cross

Viv Michie

Trading done right.

did you post a pointless comment on all 500?

Wow, gone early on the Bluey call.

From what I saw at training on Friday, you may well be right

His form over the pre season has been outstanding, he is a beautiful kick and I see him setting up a lot of play for us, if he carries that form all year I reckon he is a sneaky chance at All Australian

Touché!

Don't know about the Bluey, but agree with the sentiments. I think he and Dom will be fantastic additions. The midfield rebuild is still a long way from complete. We need at least 2-3 more high quality mids brought in in the next trade/draft period, then some.

The thing about them is they both win their own ball and when they have it they make something happen, that's what seperates stars and average players, the ability to turn normal touches into dangerous touches

Massive call to say he'll be the best recruit of any side, although he will be a great pickup.

Mumford looks like he is going to transform the Giants into a different outfit this season and beyond. At this stage he'd be my pick.

I think we need to anticipate that Bernie may be up and down with his level of performance. If he can be at a consistently high level that would be great, but it hasn't been the case for him in recent years.

Polec is probably another who has been a pretty big pickup, I had no idea he was even capable of the sort of game he dished up against Carlton

my season predictions for us are

Wins 6-8

Bluey: Vince

best first year: Georgiou

best recruit: Vince, Tyson

Goals: Howe

under the pump: Jack Trengove ( no excuses now )

most improved: Lynden Dunn

You may well be correct Sassy. I still think Jones is a shoe in for a repeat though.

I'm betting on Tyson as best recruit.

This guy is going to be an absolute superstar in 2 to 3 seasons, assuming our mid field doesn't end up collapsing in a heap with injuries, like our key forwards.

Sassy, I really hope you're right.

My expectations have been tempered by the 5 or 6 Crows fans who I've spoken to. They've all spoken of how frustrating Bernie can be, how he can go missing during the season.

We've seen his heat when he is hot, and I'm hoping that the Roos magic will sort out Bernie's consistency and shove it up the Crows' fans.

Go Dees!

I reckon Roosy will be right onto that, for me the expectation associated with Bernie is that he shows leadership, is a positive influence on our list and when it's his turn to go he plays his role

(Actually Anathema are on at the Corner Hotel on 23rd August, people should check them out)...back on topic, don't mind another topic and a bit of love for Bernie, believe there were issues at Adelaide in his last couple of years, game plan changed which sort of froze him out, reckon he has point to prove, same as Cross (who I believe is a bit [censored] with the Age journalist who said he is 'eking out another year at Melbourne")

Gee I don't know about that. He'll be a quality pick up, but I personally reckon Jones' game will elevate even further this year. Bernie could end up with the hard tag, freeing up Chunk a bit. I reckon Chunk will kick more goals this season, and we'll see him grab plenty more quality possessions on the way to his third straight Bluey

I actually think Trenners is my smokey, if he plays a full year at the level he played against the Tigers and at times against the Hawks he will have a much improved year.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
