I'm a critic of Dunn, however I reckon he'd be a handy player on a good team.

Still recall him one day tagging Deledio, killing him, and kicking 5 goals. Stellar day.

Watching Demonland convince themselves Dunn is a good player....

You've really got the gif of the gab Stuie.

Bring Back Range Rover!

Gonna be interesting to see what becomes of Lynden Dunn under Roos

Doubt anyone here has him close to our best 22 but i reckon ROos has a few surprises up his sleeve for us all

I think he belongs in our best 22 and has always tried hard and sometimes surprises you Im hoping Roos will develop him further he deserves it

is this a giffing contest?

or whose got the biggest gif?

It's like herpes.

The gif that keeps on giffing.

I get sick of posters crucifying our players.....Dunn is the perfect example

2013 averages

Disp marks tackles DT points Frees for(overall 2013) Frees against(overall 2013

16 3.7 3.3 68 13 8

Now you can take stats anyway you like but Dunn is one of our players that seems to care about the result ....I know that he does have some brain fades but tell me one of our players that didn't during the past three years.....

He takes most of our kick outs and is a terrific kick whether he is forward or back......

The bravado which at times can be over done, at least will stick up for his team mates which has been lacking in our team for a long time.....

He is not the worst on our list......just the current whipping boy since Cale left......Get off his back...

The point many seem to want to overlook is that if we are to amount to anything Dunn ought not be good enough to be best 22.

Which top 8 side would he get a game with ??

I suggest ...none

I would suggest that could be said about most of our current list.......not just Dunn.....

That is a different point.

We are discussing here that he is ATM in our best 22.

Yes if we wanted to win a premiership, he may not be in that team.

I would keep Dunn ahead of Bail, Nicholson, Tapscott, Pedersen, Byrnes and Jamar just for starters.

if we're thinking like that we may as well give up on the entire list for another season or two

I disagree. Some are new into system and not expected at their potential just yet. Dunn has no such out. Hes a better than average VFL level player...Thats all. To think otherwise is to kid oneself ..imho.

True enough when looking at a premiership situation, He will not be there.

But for the past three or four years it was either him or Bates that would be regularly castigated by

supporters on websites, Selectors saw enough and kept him and not master,

And for most of last season they kept picking him, Surely they know more than the rest of us, here on the outer side of the fence.

He must do whatever he has been tasked to do, that puts him in our current best 22. Sad yes but that was the Demons this year.

I hope either he improves or struggles in 2014. Means we are getting better,

I for one hope he improves along with his team mates. There were far worse than Dunn last ear. Looking forward not back....

stuie, couldn't help myself. I can use this on you when you so vehemently defended Stef Martin.

why the angst for dunny.......he did get rid of the mo after all

and bossdog.....you need to nominate a more deserving whipping boy first....if rangey was here we could have a poll

"Vehemently"....? All I said all along was that I thought he was a much better ruck option than Jamar, especially after the rule changes.

How'd Jamar go this year?

As good as Martin.

Well DC I usually like all of our players (Rose coloured glasses I know)........The only ones that I can think of that I was a bit iffy about were Bennell (Avg 3 possessions a game) and Bail who must change his tackling style and try to turn his opponent instead of riding him into the ground.....I have hope for the rest.......I think with a bit of confidence and coaches that believe in them we will improve a lot next season

It's November after all.

What you are ignoring is that his coaching, particularly in the last 5 years has been deplorable. What Roos is extremely good at is getting players to play to their potential. It seems to me Dunne has not nearly played to his potential yet.

I think under Roos he may well develop into a player of significance

Did Dunn actually play on any marking forwards? If so, I'll give the 1-on-1 stat some credence.

He should towel up the likes of Thomas and Hams everytime at his height / weight.

it would be interesting to see how many marking contests involving his direct opponent that he failed to make an appearance :o

if we lost the white pointer how would the players know where to run???

give dunn another chance (also I like it when i get to say "well done dunn")
