Wait, you told Dawes that people on Demonland were potting him? Oh dear. The more I read your posts the more I reckon you're borderline dangerous to this playing group. There's a good reason why the players are told to avoid these forums.

No, I didn't we were discussing in general the run of injuries he had, every player gets enough 'feedback' from everywhere to know how the 'supporters' view them.

The players are not in a 'bubble'.

That is truly bizarre, why am I dangerous, I am supporter who supports them, I don't take pot shots on twitter or here, I would say there are better candidates than me

I struggle to believe that any player would take seriously a 60 + year old unkempt supporter that goes to training in his clubs footy clobber and jumper.

I think that just about sums you up doesn't it, and by the way I suggest your eyesight is a bit on the blink.....I make a point of not wearing footy gear to training

The fact that they know i post helps me talk to them, because I also chat to them about what is on here, they are 'encouraged' not to read it themselves, hence Chris Dawes giving me carte blanche the other day to tell the doubters that he is fine, which I did on here and via Twitter

Again I get told things I am asked not to repeat, which I don't, if some posters on here have a problem with what I post, don't read it, I'll be hopefully going to training on Monday as well, so may chat to one of the new draftees who will tell me of their dismay at being drafted to Melbourne

Can't help yourself can you, from somebody who vehemently stated last season he was no longer going to read my posts, telepathy right?

dude the players are under instruction not to read sites like this, for very good reasons. Many of them don't even read the mainstream footy media. The coaching staff is responsible for what information the group is working with. By telling them about carp on this site you are acting against the club.

If you want to know the real culprits, rather than me, 'journalists' regularly read these forums, and I have heard it myself, a journalist using a direct quote from this board to get a reaction from a player........I had a go at him when he had finished

Curry, you really do need to get on Twitter have a look at some of the garbage Nathan Jones had to put up with last season.

He makes a point of retweeting it, so the 'real' supporters can bombard the troll with tweets, works a treat by the way, never see them again

If you think the players don't know supporters opinions, you are kidding yourself,

To be very honest I would be amazed if many bothered coming on here.

Why?

Old Dee, that was the point I was trying to make to some others who lack fully defined comprehension skills

The players get 'feedback' from everywhere, twitter, newspapers, a guy hanging out of a car, when they are having a meal out somewhere, their families etc etc

They know exactly what is written on here sometimes without actually having to come on and read

I actually get to talk to them because all they get from me is 100% support, in fact they enjoy chatting, I actually one day would like to one of the heroes on here who has a bash at a player to actually have the guts to go to training and say it to their fact.....fat chance of that

Aah look who is here, Satyr is back. The good old "Ned Flanders" of 'land.

Would still be telling us that everything was fine if Neeld,Mclardy & Schwab were still running the ship.

The club & players tell him everything of course....

Entertaining reading from the Good Doctor of Who.

Would hate to c what it would be like on here if we DIDNT support the same team.

Geez!

dude.. your argument is that we have the same return from indigenous players that we have had from non-indigenous, this is simply not accurate

fair enough that you consider the pick they were taken at, but what about these blokes:

Garland, pick46

Howe, pick33

T.McDonald, pick53

there are zero examples of this amongst the indigenous players, Davey gave us some good years though.. I concede also that obviously the non-indigenous late picks is a far bigger amount of players to come up with those examples.. also we should have had an absolute superstar in Jurrah but that didn't pan out

the point is there is little merit in having a drafting focus on this group based on our recent history

Ridiculous.

You draft the player based on talent, skills, and work ethic. Cultural background does NOT matter.

Poor form.

mate go and ask Paul Roos and every other coach if they want their players reading this tripe. You will get 100% of them saying no... the reason is because part of their job is to control the psychology of the players

although I must say I don't think it would do Wattsy any harm to know how he is regarded by many - might come out a little bit harder if he read it!!!

One of the things that is really starting to p!ss me off on here is the schoolyard bullying that is taking place now on this forum.

Satyriconhome is obviously a genuine supporter of the club and likes to share his insights into training and conversations with the players. Who cares if the players take him seriously or not? To condemn him for his support of the club and players is way way out of line. BH and WYL simply go for personal attacks that are completely unwarranted.

I have had the pleasure of talking to Satyriconhome at the couple of training sessions I have been able to get along to, and he and his lady are fine people who seem to have a good rapport with the players and club officials. If he likes to talk that up here, then all power to him... why continually try to burst his bubble?

In my case it's because I find it alarming that he is passing on opinions to players expressed online when players are told explicitly to avoid these places. Also, I find his attitude of "I talk the players and you don't, therefore you don't know anything" is irritating and deserves to be called upon.

The guy is like Chemical Allie. Last year when we all knew the club was imploding it was Satyr who was taking pot shots on here, telling all that "everything was fine"

It wasn't.

Hardtack, thank you, you made me blush.........unfortunately there are always one or two with inadequacy issues that spoilt it for others

Gee I don't know... possibly remarks like "old blokes hanging around changing rooms..."? Criticism is one thing, but attempting to be hurtful is a completely different matter.
