Plus i'd say the leadership group.. not sure who else

That can't happen under the AFL rules, only the expansion teams were able to do it when they first entered the competition

lol.... Doesnt mean it hasn't happened....

maybe resign might be the right word here.... I am a supporter of Watts... But I've heard that he is already commited to another team....

He can commit all he wants but unless that team is GWS or he is prepared to leave to go to a team down the bottom of the ladder then the team he may have committed to has to deal with s favourably.

This is our best our best chance of seeing if Watts can become the player we all want him to become. As much as it may pain some posters on here, we need to take Roos at his word and trust that when he says Watts is an important player for the club he knows what he's talking about.

There's lots of other poorly skilled dead wood on the list that needs to go before Watts.

Not my favourite player, but let's see what he can do for a couple of years with an experienced, successful practitioner at the helm.

I don't understand why somebody would verbally commit to another team during the season? I just don't see the advantage in it, or why it would occur?

new start

guaranteed contract price

chance to play finals

stable environment

6 years of rubbish,maybe

value in your stock at the time

other than that , maybe the new club has to make their list final and their trades ready

Hopefully Little Lord Fauntleroy will now agree to stay. However, it would be nice if Roos pulled him aside and told him we want him to play for us on the proviso that he is not a massive soft [censored].

Love it that Watts thinks he is so friggin' important that he needs to be spoken to by the new coach before Roos had signed. If Watts wasn't a number one draft pick no one would care that he is out of contract. This is like Jack Fitzpatrick coming out saying he needs to know who the next coach is before he re-signs. I'm a fan of Watts and I have defended him many times but he is starting to annoy me.

and the hun this morning alludes to that also

"but he would play better and go in and get the hard ball now that r"o"os is coach"

don't you think he would be tuffer now that paul is here, yeah I do rrrrrrrrrrrrr

Jazz a, I just think he may never has the intensity required to play a huge role for us. Hope I'm wrong. I watched the match last night and every one of those players were making second and third efforts as if their life depended on it.

Funnily enough, I don't think our improvement next year is as tied in with the likes of Watts and to a lesser extent Sylvia as it is with taking blokes like Pickles Evans and Fitz to the next step. For mine, Fitz is our Westoff ( in style and appearance) and Evans is a ball magnet hampered by injury.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
