My take is he is telling the AFL where the list is at, nothing more, nothing less.

I read that into it as well.

It does seem to be quite a backflip though. I recall him explicitly stating that this group of players could take the club forward. Now there is scoffing at the suggestion of a quick turnaround like he did at Adelaide, because Adelaide had "quality".

This list can take the club forward. Just not in the short term, and that's the difference. Well, that's how I read it!

It seemed to go beyond that. There was a pretty clear implication that the list lacked the quality needed to turn things around, period. I think rjay is correct in interpreting it as a message to AFL House.

I'm not one for wild rumours but my old man is up in Brisbane at the moment for work and believes he saw Craig up there on Monday night.

I was told by a mate fairly involved at Brisbane that Target 1 is Roos Target 2 is Craig, so i wouldn't be suprised at all if he ends up in Brisbane, and he has done the right thing by our club so i wouldn't be too annoyed if he did choose to leave.

Interesting that most of the reporters doing their predictions on AFL.com have Choco Williams coaching us and Adam simpson coaching the Lions, haven't really heard a rumour of either of those things happening like there has been with others, wouldn't be a bad outcome for anyone imo.

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
