Look at their injuries. Also they need to try him out to see if he stays on the list.

Like for like replacement with Daniel Kerr.

Along with Dalziell expect them to have a genuine edge in outside possession getting helicopter kicking players.

But in all seriousness you wouldn't put him on a tall or Mayne or Ballantyne so he'll likely play half back flank on a resting mid or defensive forward.

He has the physical attributes to be an intercept marking attacking half back flanker if he can just take the game by the scruff

For his own sake I hope he isn't still soft because the west coast fans will stick it to him.

Surely selection of the "coach killer" must be underhand attempts by the Meth Coke Eccies selection committee to move Woosha on

i guess nobody has thought about the fact that perhaps being drafted by the consistent loser club, with no suppotrt or footy dept expenditure, and dean friggin bailey as coach maybe his career wasnt given the greatest start

Gee with the right coaching staff around unlike our club he might go alright

Perhaps but chasing, tackling and kicking the ball to a TEAMMATE u would think u don't need a coach to teach u that.

That should be a basic skill which u already have.

Don't get the Morton hate. I hope he has a great career at WCE.

He has been struggling at WAFL level, surprised he was called up but then again, they have a lot of injuries. Woosha may play him on a wing to try and make Hill accountable going the other way or without Waters and Hurn they have no one to play the ball out from half back, where he may play a roaming role

Agree

Wouldnt say he potted the club thats more of a honest assessment of where we are. I have watched the full interview and he even says that he enjoyed playing for the club and only has himself to blame for not being the player we all expected him too. I love how he is honest it shows where we are as a club and where we need to get to in terms of fitness and setting the standard.

Get real guys.

At least he had the good grace not to slag off at the club or any of its personnel on departure.

I wish him well and hope he can piece his career together at his new club.

Agree. It is not his fault we selected him at 4.

It was bleedingly obvious when he was recruited that he'd be insurance for Hurn, as the long kicking driver out of the back half.

Hurn is down, as is a few others capable of filling that role.

Good luck, Cale.

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
