I am really lost with the garbage about not being able to talk to people until after the season. It really is crap - we appointed Neeld while Collingwood were still playing finals. If Williams or Eade want the job, they will talk to PJ and however is left of our board as soon as possible. Then they would be actively starting to plan for their tenure. They all have openings in their contracts regarding senior positions. What one person said and did is not actually relevant to what someone else may do in similar circumstances.

That's not to say Roos may not ultimately be our head coach, but to say he could be simply because Hird ruled it out at some point in time and then ultimately took the gig is the stuff of the shock jock world.

IMO Roos will either take the gig or not based on his personal circumstances - and I suspect, at this point in time, something needs to change on that front.
