I liked it too-I wouldn't mind a full blown fist to the opponents face at the moment. Such is my frustration .

I've been trying not to comment given that it really didn't have that much impact on the result, but they did give EVERY 50-50 call to the Pies. Watts called for holding at one end, Cloke gets a free for a nearly identical wrestle with Garland at the other. Davey ridden into the ground and is called for holding the ball. Numerous borderline high contact calls given to them, few if any to us, and when Cloke nailed Garland on the jaw it was play on. Then there were the non-calls...

Edit: frees 21-12 their way according to the AFL stats.

They were bigger, stronger and more experienced but we had a crack. Unfortunately, what worked in the first quarter failed after that. The loss of Dawes affected our forward structure and we simply lapsed into a frenzy of self-inflicted errors of which Collingwood took maximum advantage.

Once we eliminate the errors, these games will be 6 to 8 goal losses. Get a few of those injured blokes back and we won't be far away from winning games against our fellow cellar dwellers.

Do you realise that the Pies are now a struggling mid-order side and no longer a genuine top four side?

MFC should have been beaten by much more today, only saved by poor kicking by the Pies - Cloke alone could have done that damage (but no criticism of Garland who I thought was our best for the day).

MFC has potential, but nothing has changed with the Coach or the Board.

After 18 months of Neeld & 6 years of this board we have a % of 49.8.

That says it all. Our list management has been horrid and people who we paid to work, completely screwed us.

We won't get a PP this year. 17 clubs would not allow it.

We need to get the restructure right. And learn to work hard.

I actually liked what I saw of Jack Fitzpatrick - he has a bit of x-factor in him. One for Neeld to work on.

Toumpas showed plenty.

Neeld needs to get players to improve on winning more of the ball. Trengove should be looking to push up to an average of 26 possessions a game. Blease and Watts should be picking up 20 odd possessions by now each match.

I'm a big fan of Col Garland. But I don't think I have ever seen a more dejected player. And the irony is he played very good game on Cloke. But the frustration seems to be just bursting out of him. And I can't blame him

I wouldn't use the word dejected at all - I would say passionate. Loved his effort today. He worked hard all the way to the final siren. Dejected players don't do that.

Major issues with the coaching staff and not just Neeld. I feel a little sorry for him as he seems way over his head. I think he had an ambition to become an AFL coach. Achieved his ambition, unfortunately I don't think his ambition was to become a quality AFL coach.

If he is removed, then most of his assistants including Neil Craig need to be removed, as this isn't all Neeld's doing.

Unless a major miracle occurs then I can't possibly see Neeld coaching in 2014. Make the call, cut him now. Do him and everyone else a favour.

For a reason I can't put my finger on the confidence of the playing list is shot and that was evident from round 2.???

but he got 12 touches - jolly must have been bad. So he can win the hitouts - he has to do more as a player than tap the ball to Collingwood players.

Come on. I know we all want someone to blame but Mark Jamar is competitive in the ruck, even on a bad day. Plenty of other places we can look to improve.

Im still struggling how there are any redeeming qualities to a 83 point thrashing by a side that itself is struggling to find its A-game.

Glimmers here and there are nothing more than that....glimmers.. one might call them 'aberations" even

Neeld doesnt seem able to orchestrate a plan on the run that can contain annihilations.

I just dont seem to understand what anyones trying to achieve because I cant see anything thats working.

I just see a lot of failure...time after time. Nothing is learnt

What would you change if you were coach? What moves don't you like?

We're not good enough, that's clear but what are the specific game plan issues you have?

over exaggeration - they are no less worse than when Bailey was coaching. We had lazy players then - the only difference was we had a few who could still remember some success. They just need to start turning to winning - that not only means games but every contest - they need to work harder of the ball.. even though we were flogged - there were patches where we actually moved the ball quite well - however Collingwood were able to shut us down through greater experience and work harder. The players just have to become more mentally tougher, especially under pressure.

We try hard , you can see that, but the last two weeks have shown me its all about skill and run.

We constantly turn the ball over = poor skills

The opposition always run harder, and get more players loose = More run and speed and run and carry.

ruckman these days need to be more than just competitive in the ruck - that is half our problem.

Come on. I know we all want someone to blame but Mark Jamar is competitive in the ruck, even on a bad day. Plenty of other places we can look to improve.

Can't believe people are actually saying Pederson was good... That's what I hate about stats, it says he had 23 disposals etc.. He was terrible, has to be one of the most inept one on one defenders i've ever seen. Gets slaughtered in marking contests, makes bad decisions, and doesn't run hard... at all

I agree with that and I'm shocked that anyone could find any good in Fitzpatrick's game today, it shows just how low we've sunk if we can. He is just hopeless and I've never seen a player stuff up so many attempted marks, he has both his hands facing the ball when it comes to him so he slaps the ball, that's when he's not ducking his head. He should never play for us again.

Rodan runs around like a chook with its head cut off but doesn't get anywhere and handballs to someone in trouble, far to often. We have far too many players that turn back in to trouble and don't have the ability to avoid being tackled, that's why we have so may tackles against us every week. Terlich and Jones head that list.

We have so many substandard payers we are beginning to find positives in even the most ordinary of players.
