Living in fear

Recommended Posts

Tommorrow 33000 MFC members will anticipate a flogging from the Hawks.

10 goals defeat would be ...Ok.

90 points ... expected.

120 points ... probable.

150 points - Neeld can pack up.

I hate accepting and expecting to lose. I love footy, but am envious of other clubs. I want a contest, respect, a chance of a win. Not a dead duck footy season.

The dead years of 2007-12 were at least giving some hope, with draft picks expected to create or regenerate the "premiership dream " of a side for MFC.
2013 is an empty season.

The truth is we are [censored], have been for a long time.

It's about time we as members demand excellence then maybe the club will lift their game.

We have she up and been nice for too long and look where that has got us.

During my 30 odd years as a dees supporter. I have never seen more united numbers wanting serious urgent change.

Those supporters who believe we should stay the course with Neeld and Co are dwindling in numbers.

Neeld was brought in to change a buggered culture, unfortunately for him 1 win from 10 games, two years running does not cut it with supporters, sponsors and a club trying to survive.

Anyone who thinks Neeld should stay have their heads fair up their own backsides.

Thank so much for thoughtfully starting yet another tedious thread on how much we will lose by, how many goals player x will kick, how big a loss to we need to justify sacking Neeld tomorrow night etc etc etc.

It seems that there are a growing number here who would actually hate us to turn up a surprise against a big scalp lest the pressure to sack Neeld immediately may wane.

I reckon there would be many hoping exactly that!

Neeld is showing that he has the cahonas to make the changes required.

It will take time, effort and support.

I'm sick of posters saying that they have invested 9 million dollars in this club and want Neeld sacked....

In future, use your money to buy a fvcken karaoke machine.

Those people who have put in their hard earned cash may very well do that. I wonder if Neelds supporters will continue to support him if that happens?

MD, if he doesn't see out his contract and is sacked, I'll still support this team, both spiritually and financially. I, and many others see a shift. It's too simplistic to count 'wins' as the only defining factor.

We've been rs for over 10 years now and our recruiting has been absolute shite. It will take time.

This has been spoken about ad nauseum. I hope we're competitive tomorrow.

I'm sure you're hoping for the same thing.

If you supported the Tank then stop bitching because the blame is at your feet.

If you didn't support the Tank then demand that those int he club that did are thrown out and are never allowed back.

It's as simple as that.

Only a couple of years back Michael Voss labelled us as the next Powerhouse team of the AFL. What year Michael?

I think he got the century wrong as well Bobby

Been a lifetime demon and never seen it as low as this

The omission of Magner after last week and not taking a chance on players who have yet to debut is baffling

Taggert , Couch, Tynan and i would even play Barry just to give him a taste

Neeld must give supporters some hope

IMO he is doomed by his own stubborn persona

It is starting to get embarrassing now

Great, all the while his coaching ability is about 0 and going backwards just like the on field performances.

If change meant continual 100 point loses where he players give no effort then woo hoo what a change we have coming along!

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,

    GALLANT by KC from Casey

The world “gallant” is not one that is readily acceptable to losing teams in our game of football so when it was used in the context of the Casey Demons’ loss to Sandringham in yesterday’s match at Casey Fields, it left a bitter taste in the mouth.  The Demons went into the game against the St Kilda affiliated Zebras with the advantage of playing on their home turf (not that this has been a major asset in 2024) and with very little else going in their favour. The Saints have close to a full

    MEANWHILE by Whispering Jack

… meanwhile, at about the same time that Narrm was putting its feet on the accelerator to obliterate the long-suffering Euro-Yroke combination, I heard someone mention in passing that Kuwarna was leading Waalitj Marawar by a whopping 46 to 1 halfway through the second quarter of their game over in Adelaide. “What is football coming to?” I asked myself.  In front of my eyes, the Demons were smashing it through the midfield, forcing turnovers and getting the footy to their forwards who w
