getting slaughtered in midfield no surprise there. jamar has worked tirelessly but their mids are quicker to the contest, he has been leading well to little reward and scrambling at the bottom of packs too so I think jamar has been ok.

terlich starting to get a few touches, reminds me of whopper Walsh, no frills but works hard.

toumpas struggling, made a couple of basic skill errors that qtr and in one play refused to kick in his when he had pressure on his right side, instead turned full circle and turned it over.

That's what these games are for, so that young players can get a feel for it and learn from their mistakes.

I haven't seen any "wrist slitters" yet, but have seen a few (like me) who are disappointed in the two key stats as far as MFC goes, tackles and possessions.

Care much more about those stats than the score today.

i50s are 38-32 our way which is something to take out of it. Clark and Dawes you'd think (hope) would've made a big difference today.

It's all from rebounding though isn't it? We're getting smashed in the clearances.

If anything is brought up about how we "won 2 quarters" etc by the coaching staff I will spew...

That's a fairly visceral reaction. I'd advise against watching any political news without a prescription for Odansetron or Metoclopramide.

again refer to who is missing and comntemplate their addition to the tackling ^_^

what I will give you though is certain players just dont want to ( or seemingly are unable ) to show this element in their game, especially on an ongoing consistent mind set.

how is Col going today lol

Getting a little tired of this sort of comment.

Ok, so we lost every game this year, and some by a handsome margin, but at least the tackle count was level.

Jesus christ, when will the pain end??

Perfect practice makes perfect? Cue excuses for Heat/fatigue/games played/players missing/etc etc

I cared about the score today. Glad I did.

Same "key tacklers" as last week, but we did ok in the tackles then...

It's NAB Cup. Doesn't bother me if we win or not, tho wins are nice. Ask last years Grand Finalists about their NAB wins... What I want to see is improvements in our key lacking areas from last year, as that is what will lead us to wins when the real stuff starts.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

Demonland's own Whispering Jack was not in attendance but he kicked off proceedings with the following summary of all the Preseason Training action to date. We’re already a month into the MFC preseason (if you started counting when the younger players in the group began the campaign along with some of the more keen older heads)

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
