Demons hang on for the win at their impregnable Renmark fortress.

-END TRANSMISSION-

That's my yearly 5AA torture over and done with. Seriously, that one guy absolutely spoiled what was otherwise a harmlessly one-sided commentary. What an inconsiderate person he was.

that game's about as mickey mouse as you can get, but I'm relieved we won't have another preseason with no wins.. at least

full strength side at Casey next week please

Ok We take the kids to just east of the outback (Thanks AFL) while Geelong play at home and carlton have armchair ride... and we win! GO DEES!

Turn that Grand Old Flag up fellas!! Sorry Tim....can you hear that mate!!! YA HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Glad we were able to hang on in that last minute. My heart was about to burst out of my chest!

5aa after game thoughts. "Melbourne had a lot of talent out but will finish bottom 4" Port had Boak out and under this theory they should not win a game all year.

good to win, especially given how crap our team was on paper compared to them!

Did Cam Pedersen go off injured. Only one hand ball for the game.

Was subbed on in 4th quarter for Hogan. Played more in the ruck than up forward and was pretty useless.

Basically just tried to scrag the Port rucks and provide some form of contest, but was ineffective.

He's yet to show anything yet and shouldn't be in the team Round 1 IMO.

Wow 5 goals surely Seller is the next Wayne Carey....lol.....

Who cares what some nobody on a station no one knows says

Judging by how many posters are reading this thread, don't tell me that practice matches don't count towards our start.

Hard to see the stats, because those FW only named Sellar, Tappy and Davey all day.

Anyone have any decent info, please?

But in a repeat of Round 11, Brisbane proved too strong, too fit, and too relentless.  They brought their kicking boots: 9 goals, 2 points.

Forget the haunting of Round 11 — we’ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10–2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbane’s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.
