Possibly.

But I find that all the doomsayers merely flip to the polar opposite, and it's just post after post of how good we are and how <insert young player's name here> will be a star, but with higher frequency.

I can cope Jose

When we start winning I won't care

It gets a bit much, but I totally understand why it happens. We're absolutely starved of any form of success, so even meer wins results in over the top excitement. That said, any type of carry on after beating one of the newcomers to the competition is just plain idiotic.

As to the concept of honourable losses, I totally get where OD and WYL are coming from. The club must develop a stronger mentality geared towards winning being the only acceptable outcome. However, you can't say there aren't degrees of consolation to be taken from losses. A 2 point loss against Hawthorn versus a 100 point belting at the hands of say, Richmond. I know which one I'd prefer. Unfortunately, realistically, I think we're still at a stage in our development where we will be looking at positives to be taken from certain matches, moreso than the result itself. Matching it with the top four seems a fair way off still. I'd love to be proven wrong.

P Man until the MFC treats a 2 point loss exactly the same as a 100 point loss..unacceptable on both accounts the MFC will continue to be an easybeat for all others.

I am hoping that is Mark Neelds attitude.

It was my one criticism of ND..the Roller Coaster.

It's all about taking the big plunge...Join the top teams on the other side...swim or drown..or forever stay on the other side with the numbers.

When / if we win another flag. D'land will close down. There will be nobody on here posting or doing polls (where is RR.?? Can we go back to back poll..vote now) We will either be locked up, drunk / passed out in the gutter, or still at a mates place, (missues long gone home),talking gibberish to anyone still standing. All others will be wandering around the streets in a daze, trying to work out which way is home.

There's a tendency to post less when things are going well.

My guess is that traffic and posts will go down if we're winning.

I really hope we get to test your theory BH

Nothing better to do thread. (Speculation about Demonlanders)

I’ve just come in from doing “man stuff” in my shed – Jeez floral arrangements involving roses are dangerous. Anyway thinking about the Bombeblitz predictions on another thread caused me to consider what would happen on Demonland if we actually won the first 2 or 3 games of season 2013.

Some possibilities. Demonland babies will be conceived. (Old Dee and myself probably won’t feature in that).

Sloony – no predictions on above but your comments would be appreciated.

Range Rover will be back and initiating a poll about premiership chances.

Biffen will become respectable and he and Stuie will share alfresco breakfasts at a fair trade non MSG cafe where all proceeds go to the Midsumma Festival..

Ben-Hur will undo his ignore list and embrace all Demonlanders. (even WYL)

Rhino will post only positive comments.

WYL will be banned from this site after his 175000 posts cause a meltdown. He will go on to publish his book and start his own Blog.

DC will - 1. Stop wearing external underpants. 2. Give up his Monty Python obsession.

Jose, Bangkok Demon and WA demon will return to Melbourne.

Whispering Jack will allow porn on this site and will, forever more, only bathe in Banana Smoothies.

I could continue – eg J viney fan will get a decent haircut. Curry and Beer will change his scary avatar – He looks like a disenfranchised member of the KKK. Titan- Uranus will not change a name that , in itself gives very practical advice.

I will stop there. What a wonderful bunch of lunatics this site contains. I just want to see how the bickering and bad mouthing will change when we actually taste success.

Please add to the list.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

    TRAINING: Wednesday 15th January 2025

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    TRAINING: Thursday 9th January 2025

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    TRAINING: Wednesday 11th December 2024

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
