Agree McQueen he is already in front of at least five at the dees.

He hits targets

I reckon the 5 you mention might be at other clubs or no longer are on our list.

Two of them are at WCE.

Geez I'm glad his nickname isn't spelled with an "T" in it.

That would bring a lot of people a lot of pleasure.

No I actually think both of them are decent kicks.

Well give me the five he's in front of, old dee.

Put me out of my misery.

100% right foot kicks in the highlights package - will need to go the other side at the higher level.

His break to space is consistently a "dink to the right" (putting himself on his right foot). That will be figured out very quickly at the higher level where they will man up that side forcing him inwards. So he is miles from a finished product imo.

That said, he weights his (right foot) kicks extremely well and definitely has compsoure to find the target. Tackles we saw were good. Looks like a link up player (does he "go" inside as well?) and can't tell about his pace (cause its only SANFL).

Runs and carries the ball a bit like a young James McDonald.

Nice rookie prospect.

I have just run it again and quite right - very predictable and gets away with it at this level.

But I do like his pace (again at a lower level) and fierce fearless tackling, good disposal and awareness. Could become a decent AFL player, on the other hand could find himself out of his depth. That surely is what rookie listing is about.

Good vision and decision making, could play of halfback?

My thoughts similar.. Seems very unflustered and makes a bit of space for himself.

Highlights are obviously that but seems to have a good head for the game.

Pavlich, Salmon... and all in the rookie draft! Yeah yeah I know nobody is claiming he'll reach those heights, but still I can't help but chuckle at the ridiculous comparisons.

Ok. Unlike you to belittle anyone Nasher. Ridiculous comparisons???

Anyone with half a brain knows he will never be Pavlich, I was only stating that he moves alot like a young Pavlich, the way he runs, marks and moves through traffic - I thought looked he quite similar. If he even has 2 years on the rookie list I'd be happy.

It's ridiculous. Especially when you don't put riders on it like you are now doing.

I think he moves like a young Milton Berle...

I do live in the 51st state.

Clisby moves like Henry Parkes...

Don't be so sensitive, HG. If you lose it to Nasher, you'll have a hard time on here.

All good mate, just this place is frustrating sometimes!! Wasnt Henry Parkes a Sir? Im not sure, probably got the wrong guy...but he would have fresh legs by now, been rested up for a while.

Moves like a young Matthew Pavlich....Anyone else notice that from the highlights package??

If the kid jumped in the solarium for a couple of days, I might see a resemblance.....(kidding HG).

Too early to tell for me, but what I have seen has impressed me. If you were to ask me for some form of comparison from a present or past player, all I could offer at this stage is a young Cameron Bruce. But he appears in the short vision I've seen, more advanced with his handball and reflexes than what Cam was.

How's that?

Now I'll wait for Nasher to pour some more cold water on the comparisons.:P

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t
