Mitch Clark's comments in regards to his foot injury:

"I'm on track and the good news is we've got time. I'm just not trying to rush it at the moment and stay patient,"

"I'll be hoping to play a couple of NAB Cup games and go from there.

"It's pretty much fully healed and I've just got to slowly progress. The surgeons and the physios are happy how it's progressing and listen to them and do as I'm told.

The amount of love I have the bloke is ridiculous. Best thing that has happened to our club in the last 6 years.

His media conference was good, he speaks so well, I have the biggest man crush on this fella! Answered everything thrown at him very well!

Probably this is equal best news over the preseason along with the recruitment of JV.

Good luck Mitch.

Pretty pathetic how grown men have a "man crush" on this guy. He's mine so back off.

Jesse Hogan learning from Mitch Clark... I salivate. Bit different from Aaron Davey learning from Adem Yze etc...

I'd say he's the best thing to happen since this day in 2004, especially around Pick 43...

I used to hate this guy when he was at Brisbane, but I'll be honest it was probably because he would so easily account for whoever we through at him, and he would dominate us. Was in 2 minds when we picked him up, but i have to say I've been so impressed with the attitude he puts forward on and off the park. He hasn't been there long but he really seems to live and breath the Demons now. I love it!

It worried me that Mitch said he's nearly ready to start jogging on the "tready"". What a slow process is the recovery from a Lisfranc fracture!

Let's hope that jogging doesn't aggravate it. We need him to be able to run normally soon, or he'll be handicapped by an interrupted pre-season.

Ironic hey? He had the first half of his season this season interupted by a bunch of handicaps.

PS. Too far? Apologies if so and will delete if it upsets some.

Edit - forgot that it's still 2012, so had to change to "this season".

I had similar thoughts - who the hell is this and why do Neeld et al rate him so highly. It didn't take long for me to become a huge convert.

We need him to run normally for years to come, so if he doesn't do a full preseason 2013 but makes a full recover then so be it. The worst thing would be to rush him back into full training prematurely and stuff it up for all time.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
