I really Prendergasted that one

Trevor Barker would become Andy Moir's [censored] (4 screamers maketh a career not)

I was convinced Nick Smith (who?) was going to be a dominant power forward after serving his apprenticeship...

I told my mate he would win a brownlow

Brock could be the next captain....... I prendergasted that one........lol

That Craig Smoker will win a Coleman medal-mark my words.

So many. So very many. My worst though was not a player. It was Bailey. hook line sinker.

I bought the whole development coach line...the idea of talentEd kids growing under his leadership...

You know, the while self disclosure is supposed to make you feel better. It really doesn't.

That Tom Scully would be our Chris Judd.

He kind of was

Juice newton would kick 100 in a season.

Ps daz dees did nick (4 to 6) smith ever actually play a game?

He played 4 games (including the 2006 Semi - coming in for an injured Jamar) for 9 disposals and 5 hitouts.

I believe in Neeld

I've had far too many prenderdasts to list them all here, but the greatest of all was believing in Prendergast!

I bet a work friend 5 or 6 years ago that we would win a flag before collingwood... 300 bucks... :(

Thought during 2002 Trapper had finally arrived as an AFL star and would be consistent for the next 5/6 years

You really have no idea Rob.......

I rated Grgic. I thought after watching first hand, his big game against Colinwood, that we had a star on our hands.

*blush*

OK I got the Bay City Rollers wrong.

My biggest one was Nathan Carroll, thought he would hold down a key back spot for a decade after that tackle on Gehrig.......

Well I told my disgruntled dad in April 2008 to be excited because we were going to draft an amazing athletic Fijian kid who could leap over opponents in a single bound.

Thank god that didn't come true.

Bottled water would never catch on. Why would you buy something you can get for free from a tap?

Smart phones? Just a gimmick

Cale Morton will be a taller version of Robbie Flower

During Bates first year I stated he could become a similar type and quality a player as Ryan O'Keefe!

I may have been one of those guilty of hailing him as "The Red Pav"

I was pretty Prendaghast at my prediction that "Brock McLean will win a Brownlow one day."

I will own up to that one too, a Brownlow as Captain of MFC what is more!

That Jurrah and Wonaeamirri would lead us to a premiership.

Sadly we have been let down badly by both - sure it is "circumstances" or "culture" or whatever, but nonetheless teased and let down.

I once said the Bay City Rollers would be as big as the Beatles.

I thought that Colin Sylvia would have a break out year in 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013?

That Matty Bate would thrive as a mid fielder

I can't go on there are too many and I'm starting to cry

As guilty as you on the Colin one; and still am silly enough to think that 2013 may be his breakout year, and the big Charlie.

Yep, I reckon Colin will have his breakout year in 2013

Strangely I am even more confident about this than past years, and I was quite confident then too

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
