WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DOMINIC BARRY

Is there any vision available?

My search on you tube; nada!

North Ballarat 18yo who averaged 18 disposals in the Under. 18 champs.

GWS listed part of proposed Hogan deal.

From the AFL website:

Dominic Barry North Ballarat Rebels 18 183 cm 78 kg

Kevin Sheehan says: “Medium midfielder with accurate left foot and excellent natural pace and endurance. His run and carry and evasiveness were features of his performances for the NT, averaging 18.4 disposals across the at NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.”

According to Daniel Archer, his NT coach he will need a little time but could possible play in the first year. Says there's 'a fair bit of magic in him'.

Hope the MFC have interviewed this kid for piece of mind that he isn't going to take off back to the NT midseason...

Classic Olisik.

Currently playing for North Ballarat in the TAC Cup. That shows a fair degree of commitment for mine.

kid is electric, hope we get him as a throw in

Be a very handy bonus. Probably take a good preason and a whiles in the magoos to size up and develop enough for afl but looks interesting for sure

Wow...he is a beauty isn't he?

Very skilled and very quick.

He's been living here since he was 14 so he would've settled in so the chances of this i would say are very slim :)

Should start a thread called - Goodbye from the Melbourne football club - Jamie Bennell to go inline with this

Wonder if this kid can be groomed into a good small forward - possibly in an Eddie Bette's type mould?

#33 me thinks

I think Jamie is safe given the doubt/issues with Barty's knee. Bennell will make a fine small backman.

Welcome young fella - hop on board a Dees train that might finally be going somewhere. Looks like an outside mid or a small half-forward. Don't reckon we will see him in 2013 - needs some beef, but 2014 might be the go.

This kid looks good, can read the play and makes very good decisions.

I'm hoping we have the next Reoli on our hands.

Another left footer Byrnes, viney, Barry 3 of our 4 picks so far

Yes, i was thinking ht same thing. Interesting i reckon and i would suggest was part of their thinking with Byrnes and Barry.

Don't worry, got it my self: Barry was zoned to GWS under concession rules that gave the fledging expansion club access to players from the Northern Territory who would be draft eligible by the time of the 2011, 2012 and 2013 drafts.

I dont know how many games he played but finished outside the top 10 in the Rebels BaF.....on about 34 votes, the winner got 270odd

I read yesterdays courier as the source

At the same time the Rebels highest rated player was only just in the top 10 or so, tanner Smith so maybe there isnt much to read into the BaF results?

Welcome aboard Dom Barry. Electric pace and skills.

His highlights remind me of Cyril Rioli (not too much pressure). Has a similar pathway to Rioli. Rioli came down to Scotch College as a 16yo, for 2 yrs in Melbourne.

BTW the only concern for me is our record with indigenous players ... Aussie Wonaemirirmiri & the Wiz J Farmer both got homesick. And Liam's issues.
