Bids are still done one at a time though. Port would have bid #7 for Daniher, followed immediately by Essendon's response to take him as F/S. Port are then able to re-bid #7 on Viney.

So Port effectively stymied each clubs chance of getting a F/S for the 3rd round. Doesn't seem right to me.

seems like a long time since we as a club have had something so fantastic happen. As I said a few days ago, this really could be a turning point for us - particularly if some other rumoured trades come up. We could be looking at 6 or 7 changes to our starting line up. If any deal was done Melbourne could easily deny it, after all what can GC do? Its outside the laws of the game if they did a deal, so there's no way they could claim it if Melbourne denied it. No-one would have been dumb enough to sign anything, so, it never happened, give GC nothing. Too risky for both clubs, either it didn't happen, or one or both clubs will claim it didn't happen, or nothing will come of it.
