Hmmmm. May be that at my workplace we get unlimited BigPond (and Facebook and YouTube) usage, just a knee-jerk reaction as everyone here insists on using IE!

Media conference up now on DeeTV. Neeld looks like the cat that's stolen the cream.

Can hardly contain his grin at times lol

You know what, I like that. He's quietly pumped. The plan is coming together :)

To those saying he looks like he has a dodgy kicking action, I actually think it looks quite simple and uncomplicated. Obviously I haven't seen too much of him, though!

Yeah it looks a bit awkward but if it goes through the sticks who cares? I'm sure he'll get plenty of coaching on it though and help to develop a routine.

Apologies if this has been asked and answered previously. I understand that Jesse is not able to play for the Dees in 2013 but does he actually take a spot on the senior list or does he come onto the list at the end of 2013? Or is he under some sort of special rookie spot?

Cheers,

Hells

Not on list until 2014.

We go in with 41 players next year.

does anyone know over the last 10 years, how many kids have been drafted from WA? and of those kids, how many ended up going home? i imagine it would be a fairly low percentage. Hogan nominated for the mini-draft, knowing that West Coast and Freo would be extremely unlikely to get him. i don't think we have any problems. and for what its worth, i love the fact that we drafted him. i think he is going to be a superstar of the competition, which we haven't had for a long, long time.

I think the percentages will go higher with Free agency. Any kid who perceives he isnt getting enough game time will throw that line out there. We are starting to hear it more and more.

We need a mature Forward as Hogan does his time.

Whatsay we try for Schultz from Port, to tide us over up front. ^_^

You should be put in the Clink for making suggestions like that, you Hero

Kid will be a menace, tested so well during the draft camp... Will be a Cloke type.

Want to see at least 20 - 30 goals for the year in the VFL - that's based on him playing 12 - 15 games.

Harsh...?

Maybe I'm just impatient.

I wouldn't judge Hogan's output by his number of goals. Firstly, we don't know how many games he'll play on his modfied program and secondly he's not a stay at home FF. Hogan is a hard running, hard working CHF. He'll occasionally spend time up the ground, he'll contest for the odd kick in from FB, he's known to help out in defence when needed.

Does anyone else get a sense of The Ox when watching this kid?

Yep, alluded to this in a prior post somewhere, even suggested he got 5 !

Things are looking up :)

Edit:

He doesn't mind running around apparently so he may well have a touch of the Neeta's also

What a terrible combination hehe

    DERAILMENT by KC from Casey

It wasn’t quite a trainwreck although at times, it sure looked like one, so I’ll settle for “derailment”.  The trip to Brighton Homes Arena in Springfield outside the back of Brisbane might not exactly be the same place where Homer Simpson’s family resides but, if you listened closely to the utterances of the Casey Demons fans both at the ground or watching via livestream, you could hear lots of groaning and plenty of expressions of “D'oh!” reverberating in the background, particular

TEN YEARS AFTER by Whispering Jack

Things have changed in the more than ten years since the West Coast Eagles decimated Melbourne by 93 points on the MCG early in the 2014 season. The two sides had not met at the home of football in the interim until yesterday when Melbourne won by a comfortable 54 points to remain in contention for this year’s finals series. Back in those days, the Demons were in the midst of their Great Depression but they have since tasted premiership glory and experienced a long enough period among

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
