Buy in from Dunn and Jetta

He (Magner) was consistently amongst our better players early in the season: hopefully with better and longer preparation he may be able to sustain it longer in 2013. Bloody hard working and missing out several times over the years surely has only served to increase his hunger.

yes monoccular it is now or never the MFC is his shot.

They should put Dunn on a 6 weekly contract extension. He seems to manage to string together half a dozen serviceable games at the end of each contract with not much in between. This would maximise his effectiveness.

Saw Dan Nicholson putting in the hard yards at the tan last week. Great to see kids who want an AFL career

If nicho had a better kick we would all be jizzing. there is still time and another strong preseason will set him up to really make a mark.

Love any player who is putting in the yards while "on holiday", also not surprised Nicho is running the tan/ running at all, is not just fast but has super endurance.

Probably runs for fun this bloke.

If Dan Nicholson worked on his skills in the break, We'd all be happy..... He has elite speed, elite endurance...... Below average skills....

If he could pick up his ball skills, to average or above average AFL standed....... Than who knows what he could be.....

Maybe he needs to take a footy with him next time and kick at some trees

After 20 games coming from the VAFA his skills are ok and can get better notice he was straight back into the team after injury, Nicho will be ok......

Same with Nev Jetta, couple of games at Casey then in then back after suspension,

Neeld has realised that Dunn can be a very good mid size defender, think he will stay

And Lewis Jetta is Nev's cousin, same as Leroy.....believe Nev has a brother a bit younger but also supposedly a talented young player

Lewis' brother Graham plays back pocket / half back form Swan Districts. Handy player too, probably not AFL standard though

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89
