This is going to be great - if perchance we win a game next year will any of the players actually know the club song ?

Is this just your fanciful thinking, or have you heard something?

On second thoughts, silly question.

It's that time of the year. People sit around at work and do nothing but make up trades and then post them as if it's the greatest deal anyone has ever heard of. 1% of them will make any sense or be a fair trade for both teams. The other 99% will be "Ricky Petterd for GCS Pick 2, get it done Demons!" or a trade that is so grammatically incorrect with horrendous spelling that you can't understand a word of it.

You"re so right

I bet Josh Kennedy and Ben McGlynn for Draft picks No. 39, 46 and 70 sounds crazy and grammatically incorrect if you look at it now .

What else is there to do at work??.

You just must of had a bad day at work champ.

So you're not interested in Jack Viney as FS with our 2nd round draft pick?

The fact here is the bloke who started this thread would rarely have seen these two blokes play. So how the hell would they know if they are any good!!

Big Pass!

Jack Viney will be 2nd round pick.

And, I dont like what i have heard about Koby. Sounds like a [censored]. Not a door one either! If Smith is his friend I would worry about him too. No wonder either cant get a game.

Better out there in my opinion!

Jesus guys lay off the thread starter..... Just raising a topic of debate.

Even if you think posts are crap or not what is wrong with someone stating their opinion? Or what they would like to see?

It's an oldy but a goody, but if you don't like something, don't read it.

Or better yet, if you have nothing nice to say.........

On the basis we don't have to use pick 3 on Viney, then yeah its a great idea and great move... of course allowing us to pick up Viney in the high 40's. Although are both out of contract this season or are you just throwing wild ideas around?

Ummm...can't trade the pick after bidding.

Hey mate, sorry I may have got it confused "The nomination of father/son on 5th Oct" prior to trade period.

Say if he is nominated and our next pick is in the mid 20's, does this lock us in to use this pick (prior to the finalized draft list) OR are we allowed to trade it and therefore our next available selection would be say the 3rd round pick.

F/S rule 3:

"If a bid is made, the club that nominated the father-son player must use its next available selection if it wishes to retain its hold on that player. If a club nominating the father-son player declines to match the selection nominated, the club with the successful bid must use that selection at the Draft to select the player."

Can anyone verify this please? :)

If he get past Pick 3 our 2nd Rnd pick will be locked on him.

But that doesn't mean we won't have another 2nd Rnd Pick thru the trade period.

MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
