Trade rumours

also mentions that charlie dixon could be on the move. if we could get a deal done that involved day and dixon (although this is obviously unlikely to happen), we could go along way to building a young and promising forward line, a bit like wce with kennedy, darling, cox/naitanui and lynch

Day and Dixon -> Moloney, Petterd, 3rd round pick

1%?? Judd was ours and Scully was definately staying according to all my sources!

Our trading since the days of Daniher has been softly softly and pretty crap really. One season under bailey I dont think we traded at all. When they say they are going hard Im hoping they mean it - i want another Mitch Clark-style pick up. Infact Id take a whole team of them!

Hei Oli

trade rumours are

- Demons to look at Josh Caddy from Suns in exchange for pick 13

- Koby Stevens and Chris Knights are on our radar

- forget Gysberts to Geelong ... not going anywhere

If this is the case with Knights we are looking at another Matthew Bate, no pace and lack of agility now

Josh Drummond? Would probably be pretty popular with the guys in rehab and recovery groups but I'd rather get somebody who can get on the park more weeks than not.

Talent to burn in a body that wont let him.

Richmond interested in Rivers

If they want strauss and rivers then what can they give us? Their first round pick would be at about 10 wouldnt it?

Unless Nahas, Deledio, Martin or Riewoldt are on the table I cant see much else that we would be interested in from them except maybe Grigg?

I don't want Nahas or Riewoldt. Both are overrated. Riewoldt would be a cultural disaster for us. All he does is point and yell. I think the plan is to get rid of those types.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
