No doubt he should be our no. 1 priority. He's got so many attributes that we lack; pace, skill, flare, excitement, and I would say a touch of arrogance. The last one isn't meant to be an insult, he now believes in his ability he backs his pace and sort of says "catch me if you can". Reminds me of Davey when he first came to the club.

starting to show why he is highly rated. even strauss was good today aswell. i have heard clubs are strongly into blease. i just hope he doesn't take off to GWS with his best mate. is it me or does half the time he looks like he is not enjoying himself out there??

but pleeeaase sign him up asap!

yeah he looks like a real talent. Ive noticed he doesnt smile much which my wife thinks is a bad sign LOL. Keep him away from his old flatmate so he doesnt get any ideas.

Certainly not my point of view, I think he's looking like he feels part of the group now, no longer a fringe player.

Blease is better than his mate from Bankstown.

He was good offensively, yet considerably less inclined defensively.

Must keep, has Stevie J potential and attitude.

Another preseason to build his engine.

Just imagine blease when he has full match fitness and influences the whole game instead of in spurts!!! he is still only 21 and is showing us all glimpses of what he is capable of and is surely of interest for rival clubs so we really need to sign him, and quickly! with top fitness he will be an absolute star! can't wait :) GO DEES

I just have this sinking feeling that he will end up at GWS next season, I agree with dazzle it seems he just doesn't look happy. If I'm right and I hope I'm not, he has made himself good value to trade with his efforts the last few weeks

I think he looks unhappy because he is at the limit of his physical capacity for much of the game. He'd be blowing most out of our players when he was off and walking the boundary. Reckon he is stepping it up and it's hurting.

Good to see.

and how exactly is that going to happen?

He can't just leave. GWS can't poach from us again. Perhaps the pre-season draft, but only if GWS has the first pick.

I can't stop shaking my head that people keep thinking just cos Scully is at GWS that Blease will do that. Wellingham and Buddy are best mates... is that worth spreading the rumour that they will hold hands and join up at the Pies or Hawks?

Bastinac and Scully are closer mates than Blease and Scully, yet Bastinac chose to stay.

Seriously people, this is rubbish.

Great game today by Blease though, and I totally agree he needs to be secured by the MFC ASAP.

Ahh that feeling of anything can go wrong, at any moment. Mandatory for any Melbourne supporter. Justifyably so.

He'll stay. He wouldn't dare leave.

Are you telling me that players that are under contract can't get traded ????

I just wish he would lighten up. I will give him lots of credit today, he listens, last week he played on and cost himself and the team 2 goals, today I watched through my fingers when he took the mark running towards goal about 25m out, but he stopped went back and slotted it. I don't want him to go, but when asked in a joke on Robbo's show about T$ leaving he sounded still disappointed, and I'm fatalistic enough to fear the worst !

I'm saying that players can't just go to the club that they want without being unrestricted free agents.

Sure he can ask to go go to the club of choice, but GWS have to come to the party and negotiate with MFC to make it happen...

But my point is more that just cos Scully is there, does not mean that Blease would automatically go there too... are we saying that Scully is his ONLY friend in the world, and he just has to leave to join him, and leave his family etc.... it's just too simplistic a view to take.

I have said we'd have to be nuts to let him go. If he had intentions of going we might have seen dicky knee syndrome or similar appearing. But coming to contract signing season we are starting to see his potential. Then again we have seen in the past, players stepping up when contracts are on offer but in this case his skills and pace are to die for. If he goes some one at the club needs to be courtmartialed.

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention.
