Recovery from this trivial sounding but potentially very serious injury is no certainty and I think we must just give him as much time as it takes.

I would take the lack of comment by the club, or by Mitch himself, as just reflecting this uncertainty rather than a cover up.

It's been a while now since his unfortunate injury. Does anyone know how he is going such as can he walk without the moonboot etc? I really hope his injury is not a career finishing one. But, knowing the luck of the MFC it could be. Gee, I'm a pessimist!

Not without good reason BM

Yes, to quote:

Solid session today in the gym with JB and Flash Davey. Feels good being back with the boys and finally doing some training. Bring on 2013!

Spoke to Mitch at the G on Sunday. Yes, he's in a moonboot and still on crutches. He made my nephews' day, signing their football and having their photo taken with him. It's that sort of interaction with players that will ensure they're Demon supporters for the rest of their life. Thanks, Mitch!

One of The critical parts of the recovery process is complete non weight bearing for several months.

There is really nothing else to report one way or the other at this stage.,and There is nothing sinister in non reporting because there would really be nothing to report .

In next phase when he he starts running etc will be better able to judge post op progress .

Really happy for them to take their time with him, the most important player on our list.

Not really worth every sense from a playing perspective, given he has missed most of his first season and has an injury with potential long term ramifications.

In every other sense, I totally agree (e.g., interaction, work to promote club etc) but having a paid player actually play is important in assessing the overall worth.

Sure, but up until his injury he was well and truly earning the biccies, from my perspective. Put in 100%, played with pride in the jumper, and kicked a sh!tload of goals. Excellent recruiting on our part, just bad luck with the injury.

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
