On the Couch - Brock talks about 'tanking'

I am a powerbroker of the MFC. A Chief Lord of the Cybernetic Demonverse.

It's funny, when i first joined Demonland i did think once or twice that you could have been a club official trying to sway the opinion of the masses towards the clubs point of view! But Powerbroker? Thats is overstating it!

Paul Roos is disgusted because his team got flogged by a record margin by Melbourne when he was still coaching.

Just shows how good the Swans were that year or were they gambling on a 100 point thrashing by Melourne at 50-1?

Sh!t ain't black and white - live a little, you find that out.

At least it is a releif she is not. Impossible to live with. Glad I found that out.

And you must be a public servant if you earn 80k at a desk. Only they could earn that much and still be able post non stop 9 to 5.

Uh, 6.15 and still posting...

And you don't get the $80k desk joke?

Ok.

Funny, but ok.

Maybe a not so good public servant but a very dedicated poster. I would advise against a career in comedy though.

To me it looks as if vlad and co are coming out strong but are preparing to do nothing. They can't be perceived to not care about tanking but there isn't much they can do in trying to prove it has been done its a bit like the tough guys I see at crown on occasion they look big and scary but can't throw a punch to save themselves

No, it's funny.

You just don't know why though.

Which I think is funny in itself.

Well glad that you are laughing with yourself. I don't really care what you do but if you are an MFC spin jockey your boss should be proud of you. Have to go now, too many plots to thicken, webs to weave and conspiracies to hatch. Supporting this club is such a drudge.

Then why do you?

I don't think I've ever seen you post anything positive on this site, ever, so why do you bother?

Do you actually support Melbourne; are you a member? Or do you come on here just to get your jollies off arguing with anyone that will take the bait?

Since I have been on this forum, I have seen this club go from bad to pathetic to near hopeless. I am sick of the garbage we have had to put up on and off the field. I will continue to voice my displease. If you read my posts from earlier 2010 I was a most even tempered hopeful supporter until I saw all the crap that was being dished up.. I won't change until I see positive changes happening. Hopefully not too long away. I don't give a rats what you think.

If you have a problem then address it to the club because, like you, I don't give a rat's what you think, and I reckon that goes for a lot of other posters on here.

You're typical of the whingers that never tell the people that they have the problem with and prefer to scream at the wind; which by the way couldn't give a rat's either.

I await the day the club can claim to have regained genuine respect in the football world. I have a made a lot of right calls on how we are traveling over the past year or so and copped a lot flack from guys like you that just cannot accept the truth but want to believe in fantasies.

I think you're the one that believes in fantasies if you think you're some sort of Messiah and you're the only one that can see we have problems. In case it's slipped your notice we're third last, so I would imagine that's it's clear to even the most optimistic that we're not travelling well.

We haven't recruited well and what we have recruited hasn't been developed, but I think that's also clear, so where do you think the fantasies are?

Which are these right calls you've made, enlighten me?

BTW have you passed your wisdom on to the Club or have you just shared it with us?

I've read "Longsufferings" and other posts that insinuate conspiracy theories. Am I the only one that is just taking these circumstances on face value ? McLean kicks the winning goal for Carlton in a highly publicized game and gets invited onto OTC. Naturally his time at Melbourne is discussed, as well as his decision to leave - he was a top 5 draft pick afterall - and then he clumsily drops Melbourne in it.

I think people are reading far too much into the circumstances.

Yeah, I really don't understand why the most obvious explanation isn't being trotted around... McLean is a goddamn dumbass!

Yeah, Brock McLean is your textbook sociopath if you ask me.

Good riddance we got rid of this guy!

The irony that McLean left because of culture issues - yet Brock McLean is a culture issue in itself.

    GOLDIE'S METTLE by Meggs

On a perfect night for football at the home of the Redlegs, Norwood Oval, it was the visiting underdogs Melbourne who led all night and hung on to prevail in a 2-point nail-biter. In the previous round St Kilda had made it a tough physical game to help restrict Adelaide from scoring and so Mick Stinear set a similar strategy for his team. To win it would require every player to do their bit on the field plus a little bit of luck.  Fifty game milestoner Sinead Goldrick epitomised

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play
