three goals

It would be intersesting to know what is the most amount of goals we have kicked in a row, in a game this year. It couldn't be more than 3, and that may have only happened once or twice.

I have never been as flat and emotionally detatched form the game as I have this year. It's not just the losses, it's the style of play, the lack of run and confidence.

I haven't felt once in a game this year of having a real sense of momentum. How farked is that? Momentum is just about everything in todays footy.

The first game that I have not been to in twelve years at the G

I live three minutes walk from there and could not be bothered

Maybe I will get a gig in the guts next week showing as much fortitude as the regular squad

Why is Brian Royal so hated? It's not the coach. Its the midfield/or lack of.

Why not?

He really isn't getting great results.

In 2010 we had a great back line...one of the best in the comp. Wellman goes, Royal comes in and it goes downhill. Last year our midfield wasn't awful; we had some good games and some bad games. This year, Royal takes over the midfield coaching role. Now we have NO good games.

My persective at the game was that we did not take advantage of forward 50 entries in the third quarter when we were actually looking dangerous. Blease ran in and tried to kick two when we had free players in our forward 50 and Frawley did once.

But this didnt cause the blow out in the last quarter which seemed totally different to the rest of the game.

Yep, I agree. The end of the 2nd quarter and the 3rd quarter were frustrating. We had so many opportunities and we had the ball locked in our forward 50 for what seemed like an eternity without being able to kick a goal.

I think the playing group need to take some responsibility for this bullsh#t that happens once an opposition has kicked 2 goals in a row. I'd love to see our stats once a team gets a run on against us. It's outrageously bad. I'm tired of watching press releases with blokes trying to explain why they didn't show up for a quarter every week.

Surely we instigate a team rule that throws players behind the ball or clogs the game up to stop the demoralizing loses. It helps nobody.

Our kicking for goal just wasn't there, we had enough chances to kick a big score today, we missed heaps of goals on the run from inside 50. If only Clark was a little better at his set shots but more time as a key forward and that will come. Dunn hardly looked like scoring and Green was off, we really need more goals from midfielders such as Moloney, Trengove and Jones who have all kicked good goals at important times on their day but just didn't contribute enough

So what your saying is that we should make BR the next forward coach yes?

Goalkicking midfielders are worth their weight in gold and we have close to none. It is why I couldn't give a stuff if Moloney stays or goes and why I am so disappointed in Sylvia as he has the potential but only does it a couple of times a year.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
