Only going on his 2012 season thus far he's performing at around B+ level which is infinitely better than any options we have currently. Don't think he's worth more than 450 K though. Averaging around 22 possessions and 6 clearances a game with a fairly low disposal percentage. (This may be due to a lack of support and the role he's playing though).

This is true and I would prefer to get a guy like Dangerfield or even Caddy but we have so much room in the cap (even more if senior players move on) that it will really depend how we structure the contract as to whether it is worth it or not. Would we want to be paying him $550-$600K in the third year of a contract? No but if we can pay him $800-850K in the first year of a 3 year contract and $400K in the last I wouldn't be complaining.

Lazy footballer.. Doesn't stand up in big games

I must say I don't know a lot about him, but if that is true don't we already have 12 & 22 of them?

The guy has always been a gout runner, even in the under 18's pre draft.

The bombers & Cats aren't salivating over him for nothing...

It's like when people were saying Patty Dangerfield was overrated, when I called for us to trade for him last year... We could have offered Aaron or Sylvia, or even the Russian.

Now it's almost too late for Dangerfield, unless we offer him the Southern Stand.

But it's not too late for Boak...

We lost the Gaff, when that big fish got away. Don't lose this one.

Travis is a gun, but the only player on our list that would be an acceptable trade for him in Port's eyes would be Trengove. That's how highly rated he is down Alberton way.

He doesn't have the breakaway speed that we desperately need, but he does have the ball-getting and goal-kicking ability that we also desperately need.

I think if any club was going to get him it would be Geelong...but it's a moot point as I can't see him leaving the Power.

Surprised as to how many of you think he's actually worth getting...Lol.

Another plodder, which we already have enough of.

Bump !

I've changed my tune about going down this path, especially now that Dangermouse looks to be off-limits.

More prudent would be two take the two best mids in the draft and load up on a few cheap, hard bodies to help protect them as they and our other talented kids develop.

Give me three Magners @ $150k per season over one Boak type @ $500k.

He'll slot straight in.

Get him.

Players in sides that are building momentum like Dangerfield at Adelaide or Foley at Richmond, whereas someone like Boak at Port could be more realistic so good thread.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
