Just telephoned the Demon Shop re: the EW sponsor and what will be done for supporters. The girl who answered said that they were actually in a meeting discussing it as we spoke. Said there's a few options being looked at, but most likely it'll either be a voucher for the club for a replacement or an iron-on for those who've bought the jumpers - bring the jumper in and they'll go over it with the new BOJ as they have with the current cover-over. She said to call back at the end of the week and they'll know, which I intend on doing.

(I figure this might mean there's a BOJ sponsor sorted this week too)

Hmmm, sent an email to the club shop about this very same issue earlier this afternoon. Interesting to note there are a few with the same concerns especially considering the significance of the Reach jumper. I bought 2 for my girls as Easter pressies - but gave them to them a week early for the first game. Then a couple of days later the EW saga started. Their logo tarnishes what is an otherwise perfect jumper.

Thanks heaps for the update. Are they suggesting they will swap over the jumper with a new one or just cover up if you already have one

I think she was suggesting they'd swap it in the event of the vouchers, not too sure though.

Hoping they just do a cover-over, it's both cheaper for the club and it means we get to hold onto the Reach jumpers.

The Reach logo alone should be on these guernseys along with #11 or #37. I was disappointed when mine arrived with EW logo on the back as I really just wanted the connection to the memory of Jim.

Supporters Should get the option to order guernseys without sponsors logos.

Yes please post updates as you hear them - I have 2 jumpers that need fixing. Jaded suggested I could get an iron-on patch from Spotlight or Lincraft but the jumper label says "100% Polyester - No Iron".

The best solution would be a new BOJ sponsor patch that goes on like the numbers, that they can put on in the shop if you take your jumper in. A replacement jumper is too expensive for the club IMO and I'd rahther live with the pain.

People should be able to buy all clothes without logos. I don't want to have to pay to be a walking billboard. It should be the other way around. If I'm advertising Nike clothing, I should get a discount on my merchandise.

Unfortunately its all part of the big bucks sponsors pay .. they pay to have their logo on jumpers supporters buy, as many will only buy a jumper every few years .. still see some Tooheys and LG ones floating around at the G

Can anyone shed light on whether or not it would be possible to get an 'iron-on' Reach Logo for BOJ as well? Legally is it okay to pursue this option yourself and have a local shop make one?

I'm thinking it'd look terrific and would be a good match dimensionally-wise (rectangular) once enlarged to go over the EW logo.

Thoughts, input?

best outcome from my perspective would be an Opel patch that the shop can put on with their number applicataion machine - jumper says "no iron"

went to the shop pre doggies game, girl said they will be allowing us to exchange jumpers when new ones come out, but the only problem is the new ones will have webjet on the front. i bought a reach jumper with No 11 out of respect to jimmy so dont really want to exchange for the new one. a bit annoying, would be good to just get a patch to cover and surely that'll be cheaper on the club??

Can someone update on these jumpers? I have one purely for the reach logo but with the EW disaster no longer want it what are my options don't really want the new jumper with new logos either?

War office called Demon Shop yesterday. They said they'd have replacements in around mid May and that a notice would be posted on the website.

Called them today, waiting for a call back - she said she's still not sure, they were definitely looking at a cover for the Reach ones though because of the special circumstances.

Thanks Striker. I hope the black tape I put on mine won't cause an issue with the cover option!

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
