WTF, why is Aaron apologising to MIFSUD if he hasn't done anything wrong, if this is just AFL spin on this all to be a misunderstanding and/or incorrect interpretations fook that. If Aaron has made no such comment don't apologise and if you didn't do not allow the AFL to report it as such. Lines in the sand

Aaron isn't apologising.

This was never about who said what to who, it was only ever about Misfud breaking a players confidence. The AFL have just tried to muddy the waters by bringing the other crap into it.

We'll get a plum draw in 2013 I'll bet as a result. Home games against the likes of Carlton and Essendon.

Striker IMO we have a fairly good draw this year.

The draw is not the problem It is the MFC playing poorly that is the problem

Just to clarify,"it was only ever about Mifsud breaking a player's confidence and misinterpreting what he had been told. How he misinterpreted it and what exactly he misintepreted we'll never know, and quite frankly, I don't want to know. Let's just get on with playing footy.

The interesting part about today is that the latest piece is from the AFL Media Department.

Now call me a cynic but would they put out anything that did not paint the AFL in the best light.

there was an interesting segment on Media Watch last on just this issue

If any posters are interested in where the AFL is heading with Sports journalism they should logon to the abc and watch last nights media watch

it is quite illuminating

One question remains in my mind. is Grant Thomas an accredited AFL media person? If so, I would have thought his accreditation should be revoked immediately in light of his unprofessional publishing of that article. Garry Lyon should also have held him more to account as a co-panel member of Footy Classified.

I don't mind Thomo and I think his views are often refreshing and interesting, but if it were any other journo who did what he did, they'd be out of a job quicker than you can imagine...

Only a small point fitness

But please do not call him a Journalist.

At best he is a commentator, there is a significant difference

I've got to disagree od, he IS what passes as a journalist these days, just not always very professional

We should not have any inflated ideas of journalists either. One needs only to read what masquerades as newspapers these days

It's in the MFC's best interests that this dies now, I suggest we cease giving it oxygen so it can do just that.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the scorching morning heat to bring you the following observations of Wednesday's preseason training session from Gosch's Paddock. HARVEY WALLBANGER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Absent: Salem, Windsor (word is a foot rash going around), Viney, Bowey and Kentfield Train ons: Roy George, no Culley today. MATCH SIM: Friday 7th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator ventured down the freeway to bring you his observations from Friday morning's Match Simulation out at Casey Fields. Rehab: Jake Lever and Charlie Spargo running laps.  Lever was running short distances at a fast click as well as having kick to kick with a trainer. He seems unimpeded. Christian Petracca, Kade Chandler, Shane McAdam and Tom Fullarton doing non-contact kicking and handball drills on the adjacent oval.  All moving freely at pace.  I didn’

    TRAINING: Wednesday 5th February 2025

Demonland Trackwatchers were out in force as the Demons returned to Gosch's Paddock for preseason training on Wednesday morning. GHOSTWRITER'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Kozzie a no show. Tommy Sparrow was here last week in civvies and wearing sunnies. He didn’t train. Today he’s training but he’s wearing goggles so he’s likely got an eye injury. There’s a drill where Selwyn literally lies on top of Tracc, a trainer dribbles the ball towards them and Tracc has to g

THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS: 2024

Whichever way you look at it, the Melbourne Football Club’s 2024 season can only be characterized as the year of its fall from grace. Whispering Jack looks back at the season from hell that was. After its 2021 benchmark premiership triumph, the men’s team still managed top four finishes in the next two seasons but straight sets finals losses consigned them to sixth place in both years. The big fall came in 2024 with a collapse into the bottom six and a 14th placing. At Casey, the 2022 VFL p
