But back to JAMAR!!!! YESS! Now for a big game V the Pies where he just bowls over their rucks!

Love the avatar!!

FRAC* David King said he'd be staggered if Jamar was at the Dees in 2013.

Happy to help with 'staggering' of David King.

Failed football commentator.

Well done Mark.

Welcome back.

It's a relief now, that the deal is done and a further plank is in place.

We could have gone either way with the Russsian, but one club players are the Ideal.

Very very happy to have been horribly wrong on this one.

Can't say the same about Moloney though.

LOL

Great news . Mark may well have got a bit more cash elsewhere so it's a credit to him to sign now and get rid of all the speculation . You'd reckon that Moloney will follow suit now .

We need to stitch up quite a few others now , not the least being Jones , Blease , Cook , McDonald , Howe , McKenzie and Rivers .

I have privately thought he was gone, the hawks supporter at work reckons they would get him, one of the pies supporters said pies should have chased him early and hard.

What a massive lift for the club, not just the players but Neeld as well, Great work Russian!

Good Stuff, Jamar, Moloney and Rivers are all still important part for our otheryoung guys going forward, We all know they have played well all season, but letting them go will only set us back further. What we need at seasons end is to add some real topline mids to our centre.

Great news that might sway a few others if they were in doubt.

It is amazing what a different a week makes

A week ago no wins and everyone were sad sacks.

Now Beamer puts in a good game, we win against the ladder leader.

Jamar signs up giving the "bird" to all the journos predicting he would leave.

Now a Win on Monday that would make a great start to June for the Dees.

Carn the DEES

According to a lot on here Russian has been going back to Adelaide for at least the past 5 years, in fact I guarantee that a couple around trade time will suggest we trade him for Boak or Thompson or who the f ever.

He was never then, or now, going to leave the club, but the fact he's signed a three year deal won't stop the speculation.

Tell the Hawks supporter at work we are chasing Buddy and Hodge, we're not, but if they can spread that [censored] then send the ball back over the net.

This was never in doubt in my mind. I heard him say on air more than once that once the offer was on the table he'd sign it, and (at risk of earning Range Rover's wrath), I believed every word he said. Three years is surprising, but pleasantly.

Another so called "disenfranchised" player showing a huge amount of faith in the club.

WHAT? Jamar signs for three years? THREE YEARS? Beamer also states he wants to be a demon for life! Golly gosh according to some media people (I refuse to call them experts) the senior players weren't happy about Neeld and also not being in the leadership group. So far the senior players have a funny way of showing their unhappiness.

This is huge IMO. A real show of faith in the club, he would have had real currency in the market. To me it really reinforces what i have been saying about the improved sense of unity seeming to be coming out of the club.

Deserves three years and i hope he is on good coin. The timing also shows real leadership. Love it. Did i say this is huge?

Go dees!

The HeraldSun now routinely refers to David King with the prefix "leading AFL analyst" and seems to be seeking out his comment on any and every topic under the sun.

The guy makes more failed predictions than a 1-900 number astrology quack.

He is the biggest Goose in the Australian football media ... and that is some achievement.

I thought he was half Dutch, half Italian. God bless his little red and blue cotton socks.

Thats not a bad Idea robbie, Boak would be handy for the next 7 years. But the Russian has shown loyalty & taken a hip pocket shave too, I'd suggest, & thats a great example to our young players.

If only he'd resigned instead of re-signed!

I can't help feeling we'e making the same error with Jamar as we made with White, ending up losing Jolly and Simmonds.

In Spencer,Gawn and Martin, we have promising talls. We'll lose them if they don't get senior experience. We have the perfect opportunity this season.

By the way, did anyone else see the great bump by Spencer on Bateman(something I've wanted for years!) in the Box Hill game ?For once we have a really tall guy who likes to throw his weight around. He just needs to keep on learning the art of ruck play. It's not in Jamar's interests to teach him. He's building his body up andMUST be kept!

Happy with this, Thanks Russian, shot in the arm for the club and stamp of approval for Neeld and future direction of the club.

Has been a loyal servant to the club and really hope he is still around when we play deep in September

It's a big statement but gee he's 29 so will be 32 in final year of contract. Cam Bruce and Junior say hi......

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
