Does anyone know when/where this years AGM will take place? Haven't heard anything about it but from memory it is usually around early December each year. I've never attended one before but am intrerested in going this year, so if anyone has any details it would be appreciated.

This years AGM speeches will be Gold. I hope a few questions are answered on behalf of all the members.

Yes, like what happened in the week leading up to the Geelong debacle?

Why was CS dismissed on the Friday and reinstated on the Sunday?

When did we realise that most of the coaching panel had to go?

Of course none of these will be answered if they ever get asked.

The event is fairly staged managed especially if there is no need for any elections.

I guess it is all water under the bridge by then and everyone will be looking forward to a better year.

The question I want answered the most and hopefully it will come out before then is

"Who is the Board member to replace AL"?

We have not filled this position since he retired at the end of the 2010 season.

Could it be the great GL?

I have my fingers and toes crossed.

Yes O.D all of the above, and a few concerning Player 31 and how much the club knew behind the scenes and from how far back.

It is amazing and you may find this strange but I have all but fogotten about him and it is only Dec. 1st.

It has been trashed to death but we bought a pup there way back in 2009.

Well i have not forgotten. No other club has been violated in respect to a number 1 deaft pick as we have and i hope some answers come to the surface.

I will give you the answers to your questions the club will give, "we are looking forward not backward".

Redleg, correct again but I'd like this answered - what happened to us, with regards to losing our two new sponsors and it has been rumoured that the relationship between C.S & Lawrie De La Rue (Demons get sponsorship traction) has soured so badly that Lawrie has stated he will never put in any further money to the club until changes are made at the top.

Is this true and what is happening to encouraging further sponsorship alongside Energy Watch?

And is it true that ASIC is indeed looking at matters with regards to Energywatch and how does this affect us (ACCC launches legal action against Energy Watch).

With regard to the relationship between DLR and CS, I have also had this confirmed almost from the "horses mouth". Although DLR is known to be high maintenance, this is concerning that the relationship got to the point where he no longer wants anything to do with the club, until CS has gone. Why didnt someone else step in because in these times no one can afford to lose any sponsor.

(Just on another note and because I cant be bothered starting another topic heard yesterday from Carlscum insider that CJ's shoulder maybe a little bit more serious than they are letting on at the moment)

With regard to what the club knew about T$ who cares? There was nothing they could do about it anyway even if they did know what was going on. They knew the rumours as did everyone but T$ chose to lie to them. The club got the best deal possible. Move on.

As to the: Geelong debacle; Anderson Report; C Schwab reportedly being about to be given given notice; the coaching situation; and, the fact the club are astounded at the hard work being done by the new coaching regime; the supposed second big sponsor; the supposed treatment of the 2011 sponsors - these are all legitimate questions. I suspect you won't get an answers as they will be deemed 'commercial in confidence'. The Board does however answer to members and needs to make a statement.

How is it the club is astounded at the hard work on the track? Clearly they were not aware of the work being done by the top clubs and the workloads undertaken by the elite players. How is it that we could have been so far behind the competition in fitness? That is the most important question for me.

I reckon he has done the same thing before, perhaps in the early 90s ie withdrawn sposnosrhip and walked off in a huff.

don't think the club is answerable to any of this

edit: except for proper character analysis

With the supporters having paid off a $6mill debt and then being asked to support Tanking in all reality, i think we are up for a few answers. Not being negative here, just that the supporters have copped a lot lately.

The AGM is Wednesday 1st February 2012. 6.30 PM at the MCG.

No one is standing against retiring members Big Jim, David Thurin, Stuart Grimshaw and Peter Spargo so there will be no need for any voting.

This must mean we are all very happy MFC members!

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the
