Looking forward to seeing L.J out there again next year .To all the knockers get a clue . Liam playing along side another couple of big quality forwards would be scary . This year was bloody hard work for him and he managed 40 goals . Well done .

Totally agree. Clearly many on here are far more experienced on a keyboard than on a footy field. Our delivery skills would be a nightmare for any forward. 40 g under these circumstances is a good effort. Not many can make something out of nothing like liam can. As someone else mentioned, I wish we had a neitz type playing alongside him...

Thanks for the update Rudeboy, much appreciated as always.

Unfortunate news to hear. Especially as I'm going to the game at AAMI Park this week. Was looking forward to seeing LJ snagging a few goals!

The view of the game will be better at Adelaide Oval ML.

Thanks RudeBoy for all the updates on Liam. Glad to hear it isn't too bad an injury. Here's hoping he heals quickly, has a cracking preseason and comes out breathing fire next year!

A "cracking" pre-season? Given the nature of his wrist injury, sure hope you're wrong! LOL

Liam's played 35 games. He comes from a style of football where raw talent and skill is paramount and defensive pressure and physical toughness are not high priorities.

Give him another 50 games, build his body with some more pre-seasons and gym work, and keep him on the huge learning curve about the forward defensive pressure and game structures that he needs to be a mature AFL forward, and we'll see whether he can become a 10-year player that kicks 70-80 goals. Simply casting aspersions about him being as 'soft as butter' or being 'lazy' are missing the point.

Good to hear it's only a minor injury that shouldn't affect Liam having a huge preseason, as that's what he'll need to replicate his 2010 form.

40 goals from 18 games amd he has had a pretty average sort of year. His potential is mindboggling.

Totally. He's a super talent.

Big talent and after 35 games, made me realise how raw he still is. I think some supporters have some unreasonable expectations on "The Cougar". He is not a KPF and we will see more from him once he has some bigger KPF taking the number 1 & 2 defenders. A lot of defences would struggle to match up on LJ as the 3rd forward

GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov
