I agree about looking to 2012, but in the interets of optimism, note the following:

1. The President is with us

2. New modern training facilites open

3. DEBT FREE

4. The great G. Lyon is football director

5. Jack Watts

6. Jack Trengove

7. Opportunity to now try a new EXPERIENCED senior AFL coach - first since 1981

8. The core playing group is young enough still to be moulded

9. Stefan Martin

Yeah it probably was a bit harsh to put Bartram in with Scully and Morton. I know he has a crack but after 5 or so seasons you would have thought his kicking would have improved.

It would be nice for Todd to coach a win. It will be interesting to see the crowd numbers though

Theres not many things better than a kick on the G after a Melbourne win when your a kid. I used to go out there and imagine what it would be like to be A Jakovich. How big the ground was and how high the stands were with the footys and the seagulls and the rubbish swirling around in the dusk. Id forgotten what its like but i cant go this weekend so if you can take your kids and let them dream, maybe Jurrah can turn it on and kick a bag. Ill be watching on TV probably in a pub in Hedland.
