I'd run with this group this week.

Assuming:

1) Jurrah has done what he needed to do last week

2) Jamar is okay

3) Sylvia is not back yet. If he is, Bartram out, Tapscott to BP, Sylvia to HFF

FB: Warnock Rivers Bartram

HB: MacDonald Frawley Garland

C: Trengove Jones Scully

HF: Tapscott Watts Davey

FF: Howe Dunn Jurrah

Foll: Jamar Moloney McKenzie

Trengove to play back.

Morton to play on ball.

Jamar to come in for Gawn if right.

Tall backline... LeCras will cut us to pieces!

Bartram is my choice for LeCras

Warnock on the resting ruck

As for Green, I think he's escaped a game at VFL due to his captain role, but I still think we need to try and take a stand while also trying to find a way to get him more influential.

Sorry for the already existing thread. Lazy on my behalf. Please merge.

Don't know if Martin has the physicality to compete with CoxNat. Warnock would be better suited to the job while it frees Martin up to do some damage around the ground. I also think we should send Warnock to the 50 on kick ins as an extra big to aim at. He could muscle up on their bigs to allow Martin/Jamar to contest the mark.

We certainly need to be more attacking in our match ups. In almost every match-up there is an advantage for every disadvantage but I don't think we utilise them.

I'd like to see Robbie Campbell get a run. Stef will need some real support again Cox and Natinui, and Campbell certainly has more experience and bulk than Big Max. He may also give us more of that leadership that we so badly lack.

Wouldn't mind seeing Jetta get a run. From reports his pressure and intensity was pretty good at Casey. This has been dearly lacking in our past few weeks.

I agree, Jetta is very under rated by most and I think that is because he is not a forward pocket he is a midfielder although I would like to see him down back trialed as a small defender. Anyway my team for this week

Bartram Martin Frawley

MacDonald Rivers Garland

Scully Moloney Trengove

Sylvia Watts Howe

Davey Gawn Jurrah

Jamar McKenzie Gysberts

Jones Tapscott Jetta

Green

Out Bate, Petterd, Strauss, Dunn

In, Jetta, Sylvia, Jamar, Jurrah

What if Jamar does not make it?

Also not sure that having Jamar, Gawn and Martin gives us good balance.

2 of the three for me

Also Moloney must be close to being given a rest?

Edited aboveNot sure why I wrote Jones

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
