Yeah probably does deserves a list position, i dont see who the 4 we will cut for ND positions let alone a 5th spot.... will be interesting

Lets just enjoy this kid while we can

It is still only three compulsory changes. Upgraded rookies now replace your last draft picks. Newton, as the nonimated rookie, will have to be upgraded or delisted; good luck in your future endeavours, Michael. Evans, an a rookie elevated to replace a long-term injury, can remain as a rookie next year, should the club not be in a position to upgrade him.

It's hard to pre-empt these things but contrary to some around here I believe there will be a lot of movement in the list by the start of next season.

There will be plenty of room for Evans and alike if they are good enough.

I'm still adamant that he only got a game because DB had him confused with Wona.

hahaha. very good. all the best for Evans debuting.

Or Good and in Good 'evans

I kid you not, when my son was at state school one of his best mates was one Michael Hunt.

I believe Mike was an acquaintance of Phil McCrevis (they go way back)

Would that be Phil McCafferty's cousin? He used to knock about with Ben Doon.

That would be him!

Ben & Phil were inseparable.

If he's a good player we should change his name to "Hank"...

That one's taken.

The feedback from the club at the time of his drafting was that they saw him as a very talented player who had been virtually invisible for his "drafting" years because of the injuries. So there was no recent form to go on making him a less attractive proposition in the "big" draft, but a very attractive rookie proposition.

I liked what I saw in the preseason matches and am very pleased he's got the opportunity to consolidate. Good luck.

Short term memory issues here, but I can't remember a higher number debut than 50 although I have a hazy recollection of Kowal in 52 (any help)

He reminds me of a poor man's Leigh Montagna from what I've seen. Should be exciting to watch on Saturday

Wow, I hope he has higher hopes than that. sorry, but I don't rate Montagna.

I think Evans is a beauty, so far.

Gary Ablett, Chris Judd, Lance Franklin, Leigh Matthews**

Nah just that he looks similar to Montagna and is that kind of player. Maybe a less powerful Adam Cooney in my very humble opinion.

Pretty sure Junior McDonald played his first year in #53 back in 96 or 97.

Just off the top of my head though i can't recall anyone in else in recent times playing in a jumper in the 50's. Highest number i can recall was Jordie McKenzie's #49 in 2009.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
