Heard a rumour that Jake Spencer has done his knee and needs a reco... Did he pick up an injury at Casey yesterday?

Not saying that it is a definite but it's a pretty strong rumour going around..

Bright side, Gawn will get more opportunities in first-grade VFL for Casey.

Reports are that he was a class above in the reserves.

Scullys 6 week injury is dragging out.. he was 6 weeks away on April 13 and on May 3 he was 5 weeks away. Surely his injury is much worse than expected. However, during the game yesterday I heard that he was on the track running this week. So fingers crossed he needs a few weeks to get his fitness back up. Then we can see him tear it up for the Demons.

The way Bailey was talking up Scully's fitness and how he'll "quickly regain fitness as he is such a fit guy", tells me that they won't even bother with Casey practice games first and he'll go straight into the side (maybe as a sub) once he gets the all clear.

Both Jake Spencer and Jack Fitzpatrick sustained their injuries during the second quarter at Preston yesterday.

Injuries are terrible but they're part and parcel of the game.

Sad for it to happen this way but the injuries will fast track Michael Evans' career. He played well again yesterday and his pace could be handy in Melbourne's midfield. This will accelerate his elevation from the rookie list and he could get a guernsey by mid year.

Dan Nicholson has been in good form at Casey as well but was subdued yesterday.

Best wishes to Jack and Jake for speedy recoveries!

With Gawn clearly 2-3 years away from senior footy, if Jamar went down Robbie Campbell would be heavily relied on.

He is now back from injury, drafting him could prove valuable.

If Spencer's knee really does need a reco then this could be it for him at AFL level. I imagine coming back from a knee reco is going to take some serious time. Horrible news for Jake, the club and us fans.

Hopefully both boys can have a speedy recovery.

Tall stocks seem to be thinning. Campbell being rookie listed now looking like a master stroke.

The Skipper was on One Week At A Time on One HD again tonight looking far more relaxed than last week (BTW) They asked him about Scully and he said 3-4 weeks in a pretty positive manner. Hopefully it is the case.

Spencil's a big guy, they'll give him 2 years to recover.

Let's not go nuts, Campbell's barely played a VFL game yet, he's a long way away from being fit enough.

Campbell has missed alot of football and has just recommenced playing. He is still terribly underdone.

Spencer was our insurance for Jamar. And we would have been better getting that game time into Spencer.

POSTGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast

Many warned that this was a danger game and the Demons were totally outclassed all game by a young Eagles team at Optus Stadium in Perth as they were defeated by 35 points.

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak
