Tinney reading medical report from Adelaide doctor. States that Dangerfield suffered concussion, and was unable to continue playing. His symptoms increased by the end of the game. Report also states that Dangerfield is still having his cognitive function monitored daily.

Load of [censored]. Dangerfield's had so many concussions...the doctors obviously don't know what a headache is. :P:rolleyes:

[censored] off adelaide.. dangerfield better not play footy this weekend if he is as bad as they are trying to make it out to be. they are just [censored] off that they got absolutley BELTED on sunday

oh, and Dangerbrains 'cognitive functions' are still being monitored daily... the dude would get concussion opening the paper!

They don't say that he has suffered any sort of impairment though. Daily monitoring would be a standard part of the treatment for such an injury. They're trying very hard to make it sound worse than it is.

Iain Findlay calls Melbourne assistant coach Kelly O'Donnell to the witness stand. He's giving evidence about how the Demons teach their players to tackle.

O'Donnell says he believes Jack Trengove has near-perfect tackling technique. Chest close to opponent, twisting of the hips and pulling back to affect the opponent's disposal or dispossess.

What sort of defense is " we use this all the time at training"? Doesn't make it legal

It shows that we don't believe it's dangerous to tackle this way or else we wouldn't tackle this way at training, thus risking injury to our own players.

No TinnArse, we teach them to go in half-hearted and hope like all hell that our players don't get injured....

how the F... can you tackle someone these days? cant tackle their legs its tripping, cant go around their arms.... head high etc so you have a 1 foot gap to hit them where it has zero impact on them....and their disposal etc this is a joke

Mark Macgugan: Ball highlighting that Dangerfield was in a kicking motion as he was tackled. His leg comes through and misses the ball, which contributes to the momentum with which he falls towards the ground. Trengove also loses his footing, giving him less control as he carries out the tackle.

Thank you! How can they claim he couldn't protect himself when he had an arm free and got it to ground before his head hit?

"Totally worthy of a report. A legitimate tackle these days involves cradling the opposition player in one's strong yet gentle arms, and singing a tender lullaby while carefully lowering him onto some downy soft pillows. So the MRP believes, anyway."

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
